v1.0.6 Update Notes

🐛 Bug Fixes

  • Fixed broken update‑check function: Resolved a crash occurring when the new‑version pop‑up window appeared due to missing QWidget import. Both manual and automatic update checks now show prompts correctly.
  • Strengthened exception protection for the update checker; added traceback output to facilitate troubleshooting.
  • Added the on_finished callback for more accurate status restoration of the update‑check button on the settings page (no longer relying on a fixed 4‑second timeout).

✨ Improvements

  • Optimized the collaborative‑testing authorization mechanism: Once the controller completes target authorization, worker nodes trust the controller’s authorization directly without repeated pop‑up confirmations.
  • Fixed UI unresponsiveness when starting stress tests with high thread counts; the startup overlay is displayed immediately.
  • Improved stress‑test stop response speed; the waiting time for worker‑thread exit has been greatly reduced.
  • The launch page supports automatic light‑/dark‑theme adaptation.
  • Enhanced English translations; all UI texts support both Chinese and English.
  • Adopted the onedir packaging mode, cutting launch time from seconds to milliseconds.

Usage Instructions

  • Download NetPulse‑Setup‑1.0.6.exe and run the installation wizard. You may select the install directory and create a desktop shortcut.
  • Supports stress testing for HTTP/HTTPS/TCP/UDP/ICMP protocols.
  • Supports multi‑target parallel stress testing and collaborative distributed stress testing (direct‑connect / relay modes).
  • Supports real‑time CPU, memory and network monitoring.
