gimp-netpbm2gimp-plugins
GIMP plug-ins derived from the Netpbm suite
Description
The GNU Image Manipulation Program (http://www.gimp.org/), or GIMP, is a popular, interactive bitmap-editing program that can be extended through the use of plug-ins. Netpbm (http://netpbm.sourceforge.net/) is a collection of hundreds of command-line programs for bitmap-image conversion, generation, and manipulation. Although Netpbm predates the GIMP by about a decade, it is possible to automatically convert a Netpbm program to a GIMP plug-in by using the Netpbm2Gimp (http://netpbm2gimp.sourceforge.net/) utility.
gimp-netpbm2gimp-plugins is a collection of most of the Netpbm programs after running them through Netpbm2Gimp to produce GIMP plug-ins that work like any other GIMP plug-in. (Omitted Netpbm programs include those with restrictive licenses or those that are meaningful only in the context of a sequence of command-line program invocations.)
Documentation
Documentation for each of the Netpbm programs is available on the Web at
Documentation specific to the plug-in versions of each of those is included with gimp-netpbm2gimp-plugins in Texinfo format.
