DownloadNetIO-GUI is a Windows frontend for the multiplatform commandline utility 'netio'.
It measures ICMP respond times and network transfer rates for different packet sizes and protocols.
All results are stored in a SQLite database file and can easily be compared.
NetIO-GUI is preferred to rate the quality of peer-to-peer connections like VPN.

Quite easy to use (needs setting up of a peer to act as a "server" at the other end). It let me pinpoint network performance issues (failing ports in a switch) very quickly and work around them. Being able to run it off a USB stick means that the stats can all be kept in the one database, which was really handy. Not sure about support, though? Only the project page exists. No Sourceforge Web Site, and no support page are available. Still a very handy piece of software though.Reply from NetIO-GUIPosted 2019-05-14
