News: Before reading ahead, since NAS4Free Version 9.3.0.2.1283 this patch project is obsolete. All changes are included now in NAS4Free. A big thank you to zoon01 and daoyama. ------------------------------------------------------------ This patch project is for the NAS4Free project. The patch added some features to correct the issues you get if your disks are behind a real raid controller. Since version 9.2.0.1.972 the authors of NAS4Free have implemented a lot of PHP code which bear in mind also disks behind some controllers. What I have seen in the scripts is support for the following controller: 1. Standard native SATA/SAS controller with ahcich and ata driver 2. Highpoints RocketRAID controller with hptiop, htpmv, hptrr and hpt27xx driver 3. Hewlett-Packards SmartArray controller with ciss driver 4. LSI 2008 controller in IT mode with mps and mpt driver 5. 3ware raid controller (only with tool tw_cli installed) with twa and twe driver 6. ARECA controller (experimental) with arcmsr driver But obviously there are some issues again, so I wrote this patch for the current NAS4Free version 9.2.0.1.972. Four PHP scripts have to be modified: config.inc, util.inc, system.inc & diag_infos.php. Maybe the original authors can have a look at their and my scripts and will correct these small errors in the next release. General informations: Every folder contains patches for a specific version of NAS4Free. Allways use the patch matching the installed NAS4Free version and with the highest sublevel.
