NamecoinJ is a Java based graphical user interface for Namecoin, a peer-to-peer
Domain Name System based on Bitcoin technology (a decentralized cryptocurrency).

Installing NamecoinJ
--------------------
NamecoinJ comes with installers for the following platforms:
- Windows
- Linux
- Mac OS X
- Solaris
Just follow the usual procedure in each platform to install application.
Running NamecoinJ
-------------------
In order to use NamecoinJ, you need Namecoin daemon 'namecoind' which is
available to download at:
http://dot-bit.org/
When running NamecoinJ for the first time, you will be guided by a wizard to
configure Namecoin daemon 'namecoind'. Follow the wizard as below:
- Download 'namecoind' from site above, extract and place it in your program
directory
- Input the path of 'namecoind' above to the wizard.
- It will test 'namecoind' and try to configure it if there is no configuration
file found.
- You will be prompted the default content of configuration file, appropriate
username and password maybe already configured.
- Finish the wizard to save configuration and launch application.
Currently, NamecoinJ consists of five viewable modules:
- Generic Command: to manage daemon and send commands to it.
+ Client tab: to send command from client to daemon with arbitrary arguments.
+ Daemon tab: to start and stop daemon with arbitrary options.
- Account Manager: to view and manage accounts and addresses belong to user.
- Transaction Manager: to view and manage transactions belong to user.
- Send Manager: to send namecoins using command 'sendtoaddress', 'sendfrom' or
'sendmany', and move namecoins between accounts inside wallet using command
'move'.
- Name Manager: to manage names, including reserves new names using command
'name_new', confirms new names using 'name_firstupdate', updates own names using
'name_update'.. etc.
