This Plugin and Daemon for Nagios, records important statistics from HTTP Sessions via Libpcap.

In complex High Volume sites it is difficult to gather all the logs from Apache, Jboss, tomcat, Squid, and other HTTP servers and proxies and parse them for meaningful data. This monitor goes right to the source of the data, The HTTP Network Connection and pulls data directly. You can either install it on every server, route all traffic though a Linux router which has this plugin or create a Mirror Port that sends all data to this plugin.

This way you can see exactly what is going on in your environment.

This plugin can easily be used without Nagios and with some tweaks can even extend beyond the HTTP Protocol
