This is the main README for MythGrid

The purpose of this project is to setup a personal grid computing solution for increased speed transcoding and encoding video using BOINC and other open source tools. 

The environment setup should provide a jumpstart for other projects that would like to create their own BOINC projects and pre rolled linux distributions to accomplish various tasks. 

The scripts related to mythTV could be useful for other mythTV plugins.

The scripts related to video encoding should be useful for anyone wanting to encode video. Currently they are focused on producing iPad/iPhone/iPod types encodes, since that is what I need, but there is no reason that someone else wouldn't need or provide others.
