ABOUT
-----
This is a simple program written to identify a matching sequence in the coding sequence or flanking introns of genes specified by the user and to determine the consequence of mutating a position of that sequence. So, a user identifying a mutation in a program such as SeqScape or manually using simple programs like chromas or 4Peaks can copy and paste a short section of the reference sequence and tell the program where in that sequence they have identified a mutation and the nature of the mutation at the nucleotide level.

For detailed instructions please consult the application's help documentation via the application's 'Help' menu.

Additional GUI invoked from within the perl script is made possible by cocoaDialog (http://mstratman.github.com/cocoadialog/).

The rest of the application was written by Dr David Parry at the University of Leeds and is distributed free of charge under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial- ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License.
