  • Worked as I hoped! Thank you!
  • Worked great when I used it to convert .msg to .eml. Thanks a lot!
  • Did the job perfectly.
  • Very simple but usefull. It works perfect. Thank you
  • Works perfectly. Thanks.
  • I was able to open email saved in Outlook 2016. I have used Ubuntu 16.04 and Java 8.XX. Even more, drag and drop from file explorer did work!
  • Its doesn't works and then I tried a free utility from this webpage freeviewer.org/msg/ and it works like a charm. Try yourself to check how easy it is to read your msg files.
  • It doesn't read my files.
  • I think this is great BUT please help walk me thru this. I have a lot of .MSG files that were recovered from a crashed drive but I get this error message: Cannot open file: F:\Flie.msg. The file may not exist, you may not have permission to open it, or it may be open in another program. Right-click the folder that contains the file, and then click Properties to check your permissions for the folder. I need some help with this great info but I'm not as savvy as most on this message board, Please help! EMR040976@GMAIL.COM
  • I received an urgent request to extract a specific file contained in a zip file attached to a year-worth of emails. Using the msgparser library of this project I could easily manipulate thewhole list of .msg files and their attachment, closing the activity in fifteen minutes. KUDOS
  • Given that even the outlook 2015 cannot open .msg file, this tool is simple, clean and useful! Thanks!
  • Does exactly as advertised and just what I needed. I wrote a one line BAT script to make it into a "program" usable from Windows Explorer. The batch script is: "start /b javaw -jar "%~dp0\MSGViewer.jar" %1" It is designed to go beside the JAR file. Open a MSG file from Windows Explorer, select the BAT file as the program to use, and one is off to the races. Thanks.
  • very nice tool!!! However, why did you hard-code the linux DE as KDE? Now when I try to open a file it searches for kde-open :D. I'd love the possibility to be able to save files from the .msg
  • Solved my problem, I can now open .msg files!
  • Awesome!
  • Apparently the Mac OSX version of Outlook can't open .msg files for some reason. This little app saved the day!
  • Main thing is that it works. Not seamlessly and for 100% correct but it works.
  • Does what is says on the box. Perfect.
  • Simple and effective, does just what it says: reads Microsoft Office *.msg style files.
