  • Well, last time that I've succesfully compiled this SACD/DVD-Audio ISO MPD supported on Volumio (only 32 bit Buster unfortunately) was two years ago. Now, Volumio is still stuck on 32bit buster with g++ compiler version 8.3 which doesn't support fully C++20 which latest source code for this fork of MPD requires. I've managed to compile it for Moodeaudio 8.3.9 and latest RuneAudio (archlinux) with some warnings and inability to show albumart. It was done directly on RPi 4 as it is too time consuming and difficult for me to properly setup toolchain for aarch64 or arm 32 bit on PC. I tried to update g++ to at least v 10.5 but I couldn't compile it successfully. Interesting is that I can compile latest official MPD without any warnings even on buster 32bit. Moodeaudio has 64 bit , and RuneAudio also. It's too complex for me, for now, to know what to change within code so I could have albumart on these distros. But I can follow instructions if concise... Anyway, great project and I hope that Volumio will be updated to support 64 bit at least bullseye but I wouldn't hold my breath this could happen this year.
  • this is a very essential project and support for audipilers like me to use sacd-iso format of files. thanks
