Great .... thank you. I love it. Simple, fast and perfect. I rotated videos taken with my Canon IXUS.

Actually I think this is a worthwhile project, but I'm afraid it currently doesnt work.
I tried to rotate a Motion Jpeg AVI generated by a Canon IXUS 55.
The original plays perfectly under a number of Linux players - using gmplayer as a reference.
However the rotated one must be missing some header information. The error is:
FATAL: Could not initialize video filters (-vf) or video output (-vo)
VLC could play it (audio fine), but the colour information for the video was completely wrecked - B&W with coloured bands across it.
Kaffeine crashed immediately trying to play it (Kaffeine is an awful video player anyway, its much better as a music shuffler).
The good: the program launched and 'worked' pefectly, it just didn't do what it was supposed to do. Please keep working on it and good luck!

A friend shot some AVI videos with my Canon ELPH Powershot, but he turned the camera 90° to "portrait" mode. To view them, I needed to lay on my side, turn my monitor, or... Enter MJPEG Lossless Rotate, to the rescue! Within minutes of finding this web site, I had righted my videos. Nice job, team!

I have some video's from my Canon Powershot S70 that i took in portrait. Never realized what trouble it would be to have them rotated. I must have spent at least a day looking for a way to rotate them without re-encoding. There are a few programs that can rotate but they all re-encode. Thanks so much for this. It really made my day finding this. I hope that maybe you can expand this for different formats but i know there are limitations. also considering how many camera's, phones, etc do video - i would think this would be a growing tool. Its making its way to my bookmark Thanks again - my neck was getting sore!
