Final release of Miyo-JWM (Debian Version)

Based on Debian Buster (Stable)

While there are some changes since the Release Candidate version, you don't need to reinstall the system unless you want the changes.

LIVE USERNAME: user

LIVE PASSWORD: live

Final version changes...

Changes:

  • Replaced the Slim display manager with LightDM due to possible conflicts with logind. NOTE: I haven't experienced any issues while using Slim; however, I don't want to take the chance that others may possibly face issues while using Slim.
  • Removed the MiyoLinux Update Notifier (see Release Notes).

Unchanged:

  • Release Notes are in the Home folder instead of the Documents folder.
  • There are panel launchers for the Live Keyboard and the CMST network manager.

Known Issues:

  • Some installations may not have the full sources.list (See the Release Notes).
  • The Monitor Settings application may not work in Virtualbox. It may also freeze the system (see alternatives below).

ADJUST MONITOR RESOLUTION IN VIRTUALBOX

Option 1: Put the virtualbox window in full-screen, then log out and log back in. The live username is user, and the password is live.

Option 2: Open the terminal, and enter the following command

xrandr

That will list the available resolutions. Choose the one that you want to use, and then enter the following command with the resolution you want to use (I'll use 1366x768 as an example)...

xrandr -s 1366x768
