README Just released the 64 bit version of Star Studio from mintyMac featuring the Cinnamon Desktop. As with all mintyMac releases to install please use "custom" as username hit enter then lease password field blank and again hit enter which will take you into the live or install mode. mintyMac-StarStudio is not lightweight by any means so we don't recommend live mode as an option past simply looking around and testing. --->> i hate waiting lol...The installer is easy for newbees to understand so you will be able to keep your current windows or other Linux distro and just condence the current partion. Quick note before we upload to the discussion area on how to use a capture card like "easycap" to view, stream and or save to file video from your mintyMac-StarStudio OS. Easy quick instructions ...use VLC choose video device ( such as /dev/video0, video1 etc..) next choose audio ... my recommandation is to use your onboard sound card or pci card to capture the audio portion. Just doing this will work to view video however if you want to save it at bottom of first screen from file/capture/ choose convert now choose to create a profile instead of using the default profiles. You can play around with the codecs you prefer but I recommend something like MP4/MOV here is the part thats important don't click create yet!... click video tab choose MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 (other work but this is just a quick starter note remember...ok don't forget to click checkbox "video" its in bold type. Ok next click Audio tab again click bold type "Audio" this time choose MPEG Audio NOT Mp3 or aac at least to start with. Then click create. Now you can choose this name whenever you want to have easy quick access to a working config. I personally searched google for weeks with no luck on helpful tips that acually work.. More to come hopefully within a day or two Enjoy.
