README for mintyMac Cinnamon Standard and Developers Edition mintyMac 1.5 Cinnamon 2.2.8 (14.04) - (Developers Edition) To Install either system: Use "custom" as username hit enter then leave password blank hit enter. About version 1.5 This mintyMAc build is featuring the very smooth and robust desk Cinnamon. It is my opinion this desktop environment will put LINUX into the foreground with the two big boys. Remastersys is pre-installed and working perfectly. Synaptic is installed and system is PPA ready. ----> please take note that we commented out the ppa in the sources for updating cinnamon since we are using the nightly build version of the lastest release of the cinnamon desktop, just to be on safe side. <--------- To update cinnamon with the nightly released builds simply uncomment: # deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/gwendal-lebihan-dev/cinnamon-nightly/ubuntu/ trusty main # deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/gwendal-lebihan-dev/cinnamon-nightly/ubuntu/ trusty main which is located at /etc/apt/sources.list.d mintyMac 1.6 Cinnamon 2.2.8 (14.04) - (Standard Edition) The Standard release includes Opera web browser, Sylpheed (email client), Transmission, Etherape, Audacity, VLC, UCK, Bleachbit, Rhythmbox, guvcview webcam, Abiword, Osmo, Shotwell and F-spot (for importing from iphone) plus much more.
