MinsOS — Galaxy Tab S7 11" Wi-Fi (SM-T870 / gts7lwifi)
One UI 8.0 (Android 16) for a tablet Samsung stopped at Android 13.
SM-T870 only. Not the 12.4" T970/T975/T976, not T875/T878 (LTE/5G), not the S7 FE. Check Settings → About tablet → Model number first: the kernel here carries only the T870's device-tree overlays.
Status: running on T870s, with one known gap
This build has been installed and used on an SM-T870. It boots, completes setup, and the list below is what its owners have actually exercised. It is still a young port for this model - the 12.4-inch has months of use behind it and this one has days.
Exercised on a T870: boot and setup wizard, KernelSU root, stereo speakers, S-Pen, 120 Hz, correct boot logo, GPS fix, Bluetooth including a trackpad keyboard case, fast charging, a PIN that survives a reboot, the camera - stills and 4K video - and Air Command.
Known not working:
- Fingerprint does not work. The 11-inch reads fingerprints in the power key; the donor system expects an in-display sensor and the side-key adaptation is not ported yet. This is the one feature that is simply missing.
- USB-C DisplayPort does not work on any MinsOS build yet (see the known issues in the wiki).
Fixed in this build: Air Command used to crash on this model. The cause was one configuration string - the BLE S-Pen spec, taken from the T870's own Android 13 firmware, naming a capability this One UI 8 system does not implement. Reproduced deliberately on a 12.4-inch by feeding it the 11-inch's value, and confirmed fixed on a real T870 by the owner who reported it.
One report worth knowing about: setting a screen lock froze one T870 during testing. It was traced to that tablet's own state, not to the model or to this port - a clean install cleared it and it has not recurred. Recorded here because it happened, not because it is expected.
Download the stock T870 firmware for your CSC and install Odin before you flash. That is the only way back. This replaces boot, dtbo and the whole super partition.
Latest — v0.3.4

Delta from v0.3.3 - writes only the system partition
Check the download before you flash it. A truncated 5.8 GB file sideloads for twenty minutes and then fails:
sha256sum -c MinsOS_v0.3.3-to-v0.3.4_gts7lwifi_incremental.zip.sha256
Before you flash
- This wipes your data on a first install. Updating from a previous MinsOS does not.
- Unlocking the bootloader permanently trips Knox. Samsung Pay, Secure Folder and the warranty are gone for good.
- The ROM is pre-rooted and you cannot opt out. It ships the KernelSU-Next kernel and the manager app together; the manager installs itself on first boot. Do not flash a kernel afterwards — that unpairs them and root silently stops working.
- Expect attestation-sensitive apps to behave differently than on stock.
Install
TWRP → Wipe → Format Data (first install only) → Advanced → ADB Sideload →
adb sideload MinsOS_v0.3.3-to-v0.3.4_gts7lwifi_incremental.zip → reboot.
Wait until adb devices reports sideload before transferring; starting early sends zero bytes
and still looks like it worked.
If a root manager says "not supported" after flashing, check which app you opened: an old
me.weishu.kernelsu survives the flash and is a different app from com.rifsxd.ksunext.

vbmeta_disabled_T870_DXH1.tar
Install prerequisite for devices coming straight from stock: the stock T870XXS8DXH1 vbmeta with the verification flags set to disabled (20 KB). Flash it in Odin (AP slot) when you flash TWRP. Without it the first boot after installing MinsOS stops at "Error verifying vbmeta image" on the dtbo partition, because the bootloader still enforces verified boot against Samsung's stock vbmeta.
