K1r Multi Panel - K1RMulti_000.bpanelz This is a Ctrlr panel to allow editing of K1r singles and multis. It ought to work on K1 and K1m but no promises as I do not have those synths to check. Tested on Ctrlr v Version = 5.3.201 Build date = Wed Mar 30 00:52:44 CEDT 2016 Branch = Nightly Juce = 4.0.2 libusb = 1.0.19 liblo = 0.28 Version = 5. NOTE I originally released a panel on 6 but that was really unstable. This is just mildly unstable - hang sometimes during sysex transfer. It seems there is no way, other than restarting Ctrlr, to reset the midiBuffers. NOTE: This is hardwired to Midi Channel 1 at the moment. Once I get my head around how Ctrlr works I will release a new version that allows different channels. [[it isnt the complexity of how to handle symmetric channels but the case where send is on 3 and receive is on 2 say It isnt clear the role of the "Controller" channel in Ctrlr!!]] See also YouTube for some videos I made during development. Part 1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZBweBpdqpsw&t=212s Part 2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I59eSAHzLHs&t=3s Part 3 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Km6l8_f_JGc&t=72s Part 4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pO5xzGVCIoA Part 5 https://youtu.be/9KYtE1NOL9k KNOWN ISSUES So I mostly use this: K1r MIDI OUT -> Ctrlr Midi In K1r MIDI IN <- Ctrlr Midi Out Channel 1 only this allows you to modify data and use the on screen keyboard to get a feel for what your changes are. In this current version IF you want to hook up an external keyboard you can add it to the Controller input The select Midi Thru (In to Out) BE VERY CAREFUL when you do this as it could allow midi feedback loops. Save your work often. Even better do not try to mess with Sysex Load/Save in such a way. I really think the best usage is to set and save some performance patches then take Ctrlr out of the loop and use good old fashioned Midi. I did see "MULTI K-1" persist on my Multi IA-1 preset - looks like its time to change the battery!! Only been in it for 30 years! Either my software, Ctrlr or both are not super stable. So small bursts are good way to use it. I added a MIDI RESET but sometimes you just have to shutdown Ctrlr and K1r then restart them both. In extreme cases I have had to restart my PC ... I am using Steinberg MIDEX8 on Windows 10 and their driver is "best efforts" so I might be causing myself more trouble. as ever this is release "as is". I cannot and will not accept any liability should your synth, computer, world malfunction. This is just a tool that might be useful for you to explore your K1r. I have not tested it on Mac nor Linux. Just Windows. And I plan to make some changes to handle character sets better.
