You should have received a copy of the GNU Lesser General Public License along with this library; if not, write to the Free Software Foundation, Inc., 59 Temple Place, Suite 330, Boston, MA 02111-1307 USA We currently have these "use models" for the MGEN software: 1) You "just" want to run the layout editor and other tools, including compilation of own layout generators or tools? Then you are best off installing a binary package as described in doc/mgen-paris-install.html . 2) You want to recompile everything for a different platform or want to contribute to MGEN as a developer? Then you will want to additionally download and unpack the sources as described in doc/mgen-paris-compile.html 3) You want to have a look into the sources of the sample layout generator? Use sampletech.tar.bz2 and sampletech-source.tar.bz2, as described in doc/mgen-paris-compile.html . 4) To use Cadence autoabutment even for folded transistors and transistors with different sizes, also refer to doc/mgen-paris-compile.html . Please contact us in case of any problems. We are not used to distribute free software and want to fine-tune the process. In any case, we appreciate your feedback. In particular, we would like to know who is using/evaluating MGEN for what application. Send e-mails to mgen-devel@lists.sourceforge.net or directly to me. Enjoy, Volker July 3rd, 2006
