User Reviews

  • Very good editor! Thanks
  • This provides great and needed support for working with METS and related records formats (MARC, EAD, Dublin Core, etc) in GLAMS (galleries, libraries, archives, and museums) and GLAM-environments for digital libraries and repositories. This also does much of the processing required for digital production in terms of creating derivatives, allowing GUI-ified method for adding structural metadata, and more. The main SobekCM Digital Repository, SobekCM (or Sobek), has a rich array of features for patron-users and internal-users to make operations easy, including associated tools. It works perfectly for museum objects, rare books and ma***cripts, herbarium specimens, newspapers and other serials, academic articles and journals, photo collections, and more. SobekCM powers the University of Florida Digital Collections with more than 7 million pages of content and hundreds of thousands of items. There are no issues of scale with its incredible speed for online metadata editing, user added tags or descriptions, and lightning fast for searches and browses. SobekCM also powers the Digital Library of the Caribbean (dLOC) and is used by an international community of internal-users to handle all aspects of digital library management.
