This patch release hardens application security by introducing mutual code signature verification for privileged operations and refines the source analysis workflow along with helper update visibility.

IMPROVEMENTS

  • Hardened helper tool security: the application and the background helper must now mutually verify each other's trusted code signatures before executing any privileged operations.
  • Improved macOS source analysis to reject ordinary .app bundles and disk images that do not contain a valid macOS installer.
  • Added an in-app notification to inform the user when the helper tool is automatically updated following a macUSB application update.
