LYNX

LYNX 0.1.7 alpha: ten new native reverbs, delays and modulators (LYNX's own code, fitted to black-box measurements of the classic tools in those roles), exact Fruity Phaser and Fruity Send engines, a full-window Facet EQ editor, FL-style Playlist groups and Channel Rack filter groups, plugin windows for ten more FL effects, microphone input through LYNX ASIO, and the level fixes behind "vocals quieter than in FL". Website: lynx-share.com.

[!IMPORTANT] Still an alpha. Bug reports are very welcome in Issues.

New native engines (own names, own code)

  • Reverbs (one FDN engine, six voicings): Epoch Verb (22 modes), Atrium (rooms), Foil Plate, Nebula (huge spaces), Halo (shimmer) and Horizon. Projects that used the Valhalla reverbs you don't have open with these, every saved value translated.
  • Delays and modulation: Echoform (multi-style delay), Spiral Echo (frequency-shifting echo), Orbit (space modulator) and Lattice Mod (multi-voice chorus / flanger / ensemble), with the Valhalla delay / modulation substitutes translating the saved settings.
  • Fruity Phaser: exact engine (bit-identical to FL's on all 27 presets), including old projects' wrapped VST2 phasers and FL automation.
  • Fruity Send: exact engine and routing (level / pan matrix, dry, plugin delay compensation), import, save / load and window; FL renders A–F matched.
  • Dynamics: Crest Compressor (Pro-C-style modes, side chain, auto gain), Prism Multiband (four-band dynamics), Sentry Gate and Ember's per-band dynamics, fitted to black-box measurements of the classic dynamics tools; their editors follow the originals' layout logic in LYNX's own style, and projects that used those plugins open with the saved settings translated.
  • Inspired by the classics: the website, README and docs/PLUGINS.md (github.com) list which classic each LYNX engine stands in for (generated from the substitutes table).

Plugin windows and UI

  • Facet EQ editor rewritten: full-window graph with analyser, draggable nodes, floating band panel, hover read-out, piano scale; dynamic EQ bands, natural / linear phase modes and band solo. LYNX Tune shows the detected and corrected pitch live.
  • The new reverb / delay / modulation editors follow the layout logic of the originals (sections, mode-dependent knobs, menus, pages), drawn in LYNX's own style.
  • Playlist track groups (fold / unfold, FL track menu, picker tabs), Channel Rack filter groups with FL's channel menu, and the Mixer side panel in FL's layout (slot arrows, EQ section, output).
  • FL-arranged windows for Fruity Vocoder, Frequency Splitter, Delay Bank, EQUO, Multiband Delay, Convolver, Pitch Shifter, Effector, Hardcore and Vocodex, with state-backed controls that edit live.
  • Mixer: editable route-to-Master level knob.

Audio input / ASIO

  • LYNX ASIO input: exclusive and shared capture with a drift-compensated input FIFO, lost-frame filling, latency model and panel read-out; 32-bit driver DLL registered and packaged alongside the 64-bit one; LYNX.exe --rtstress --record tests the recording path.

Fixes

  • Vocals quieter than in FL: mixer route levels (insert → insert and → Master) now follow FL's fader curve (16000 = +5.6 dB); overlapping audio clips of one channel both play; the plugin scan timeout grows with the VST3 class count (Waves shell) and blacklisted files get one retry; compressor substitutes apply auto gain. Verified within 0.1–0.5 dB of FL on a real vocal project.
  • Audio clips keep the sub-tick part of millisecond offsets and start on a whole source frame like FL (stems of a real project now sample-exact to the end); the regression baseline was re-taken.
  • Linux CI (Tests workflow) is green again (platform-dependent fixtures fixed).

Docs

  • Round notes for every change in docs/analise/REA_rodada100..110, plugin fallback table in docs/PLUGIN_FALLBACK.md (github.com).
