  • I have recently bought an electric car with this BMS installed. (1988 BWM 318 - I think it was the first version of this BMS by the original designer.) I didn't realise this BMS project was still alive as the original web page hasn't been updated since 2011. Perhaps it's worth posting a message on this page: ecomodder.com/wiki/index.php/Open_ReVolt/PCB_Schematics#Open_ReVolt_-_CellTop_Battery_Management_System_.28Rev1.29 to redirect people to here ?? Anyway, on to the review: It's a great BMS, it has all the essential features, low cell voltage alert, high cell voltage alert, but the best part is the LCD display. The master LCD is fantastic ! It has been very useful to know the cell that has the lowest voltage. I have just replaced 6 cells in my car's 135 cells pack, using the BMS to help find the weakest cells :) No other low cost, cell top BMS offers this level of information.
