Logos 0.2.0 fixes the bugs that made the previous build unusable outside Chat. Terminal and Browser mode now actually run their tools, and Browser mode can open any address you need. Updating from 0.1.0 is strongly recommended: settings.json, logs and projects in %LOCALAPPDATA%\Logos are kept.
Fixes
- Terminal and Browser did nothing. Weak models (for example
qwen/qwen3.7-flashon OpenRouter) answer with a tool call that has nopayloadwrapper, withactionsas a JSON string, or with the action name intype. Such a call was dropped, so the model "thought" and the turn ended with an empty text response. The envelope is now rebuilt from those shapes, andactionsgiven as a string is decoded. - Stringified arguments. Values like
"false"and"null"are matched to the parameter types the tool declares before the call, sorun_in_backgroundis a real boolean andcwda real path. Genuine string arguments are never rewritten. - Public sites refused by the browser.
ukr.netresolves to a NAT64 address (64:ff9b::23ba:da43, i.e. the public35.186.218.67), and the whole64:ff9b::/96prefix is reported as IETF-reserved: a public page looked like a local target. Such an address is now judged by the IPv4 it wraps. - Browser addresses. New Settings → Browser → Network access with
Any addressas the default: localhost, local network addresses andfile://pages open like in a normal browser.Internet and this computerandInternet onlystay available for pages you do not trust. - Chromium download dialog. The bar follows one archive at a time and restarts when the next file begins; the line above it names that file and its size (
Chromium · 197.5 MiB). TheDownload: ~320 MBline stays the only place the whole total is stated.
Also in this build
- The version is shown as
0.2.0in the window title, the startup log and Settings → About, and the installer reads it from the executable. - The uninstaller can optionally remove the shared Chromium engine in
%LOCALAPPDATA%\ms-playwright(unchecked by default). - Settings → Providers no longer offers a native-search toggle for Google: Gemini's Search grounding is billed and unavailable on free keys, so chat web search uses the app's own tools.
Download
| File | Description |
|---|---|
LogosSetup.exe |
Recommended. Per-user installer (no administrator rights). Adds the Start Menu shortcut and, as optional tasks, the logos command, the Explorer "Open with Logos" folder menu and a desktop shortcut. Uninstalls from Settings → Installed apps. |
Logos.exe |
Portable single file. Nothing to install; just run it. |
Both builds keep settings, logs, cache and project data in %LOCALAPPDATA%\Logos.
First run
- Start Logos (installed or portable).
- Pick a provider and paste its API key. A free Google Gemini key is enough to try the app out.
- Choose or add a project folder on the Home screen and start a session.
No subscription is included: you bring your own provider account.
Notes
- Built for Windows 10/11 (x64). On Linux, run from source — see the README.
- Browser mode drives a real Chromium through Playwright, which is not bundled to keep the download small. On first use Logos offers to download it (~320 MB) into a per-user folder; Settings → Browser shows the same status and button.
- Vision (Computer Use) needs a provider that supports it — OpenAI, Anthropic or Google with a paid key. OpenRouter and custom endpoints are not used for Vision.
