  • Deltik has been simply Amazing! He replied to my email right away and since then has released several patches to the program.I emailed him when I found a few bugs and he fixed them with a new release pretty much over night! The program now has support for Pidgin (both html and txt) log conversion to msn's xml format. The only problem with Pidgin text log conversion is that because it is plain text there is no information to be displayed in the "to" field upon conversion, but for me, that's not an issue,I can work with that because I know who sent it, I know who received it which works fine for me and can easily be worked around by other users. The end result is that the program is awesome and exactly what I needed. It's interface is easy to use, and easy to follow. you can choose where your files are pulled from and where the converted files end up. Support has been excellent. The program also supports conversion to and from several other log formats that I don't personally use but that other users would find helpful. Conversion is also very quick as well. I have to say Deltik has been a pleasure to work with, is a really nice individual and all around wonderful human being for putting up with me for all the little bugs I found along the way.
  • I recently gave up on Digsby and went to Pidgin. Problem is - I couldn't find any utilities to convert my chat logs over to Pidgin. I found a tool called Log2Log but the author never got around to adding support for Digsby. I emailed him and he graciously picked up the project again and just posted version 1.0.3 that allows conversion from Digby to both Pidgin and Trillian! I just tried it on my 2200 Digsby log files from across 4 different IM services (AOL IM, Yahoo, MSN, and Google Talk) and they all converted seamlessly over to Pidgin! It was really nice of the author to pick this project back up and update it to include support for Digsby, i hope you enjoy using it also.
