LoCo.tar.gz is everything needed to install and run LoCo. This version is for end users. LoCo_full.tar.gz contains LoCo.tar.gz and the Jalview source code. This version is only recommended for users who wish to view or edit the source code. If you have issues compiling the MIpToolset or getting LoCo to run, please first check the README_LoCo.txt file included. Ensure you have make, gcc, java and perl installed. A Windows-based solution via Cygwin is described in the install instructions but is NOT supported. If issues persist, please contact rdickso(at)uwo(dot)ca with a full description of the error message, your OS, and the versions of java, make, perl, and gcc you are using. Thanks for using LoCo. ___________________________________________________ ATTENTION WINDOWS USERS It has come to my attention that the most common issue with installation of LoCo on Windows machines relates to Cygwin's access to and permissions with the file system. To ensure that LoCo is able to run properly, make sure to unzip the LoCo.tar.gz file inside your Cygwin home directory which is located by default at C:\cygwin\home\[YOUR_USER_NAME] according to your Windows file system and at /home/[YOUR_USER_NAME]/ according to Cygwin. This will ensure that Cygwin has permission to execute LoCo and edit supporting files during LoCo's use. This advice applies to Windows users only. Mac and Linux users can place the LoCo directory at their convenience.
