OPENLISEM HAZARD 1.0 BETA RELEASE NOTES: IMPORTANT!! PLEASE READ THE REQUIRED SETUP INFORMATION IN SECTION 2) 1) The openLISEM Hazard model ====================== This is the multi-hazard extension of the event based spatial runoff and erosion model openLISEM. Thank you for downloading this BETA-version. OpenLISEM simulates the spatial dynamics of surface flow, slope stability, runout and erosion for catchments of 1 ha to 500 km2. It is based on the LISEM model that is available here: https://blog.utwente.nl/lisem/. Details about the theory and dataset for now can be found on this website (although a bit outdated). openLISEM uses the freeware GIS PCRaster (http://pcraster.geo.uu.nl) for database creation and analysis of the results. 2) IMPORTANT!! Required Setup ====================== Please note there are 2 versions of the model. The version with 3D display requires a recent graphics card and might not work on older pc models. THe version without 3d display option works on all computers where the regular OpenLISEM version works. For OPENLISEM it is important that when loading the example datasets, the OS number formatting is in english (UK) format. Otherwise, an error will be produced when running the model. Since this is a beta release, there might be bugs although there has been intensive testing. Please contact us in this case for support. 3) Terms of use =============== This software is free and open source, hosted by sourceforge.net. The project details can be found on: http://lisem.sourceforge.net All license details can be found on this website. The compiled model openLISEM and the source code, or parts of the source code can be used for any purpose, but the disclaimer as specified below is in effect. openLISEM in any version (compiled or as source code) cannot be sold or be part of a commercial package, unless express permission is gained from Victor Jetten (jetten@itc.nl).
