Very good HW TS synchronization on all the Freescale and TI platforms we have tested

Excuse me, I want to install your linuxptp on either Ubuntu(PC) or Angstrom(embedded system). (one for master and another for slave) But I don't know what the Step 6.1 about Linux kernel means in your website, "It is important to have the kernel headers available when compiling the Linux PTP stack." If I use a kernel version upper than 3.8, should I do any work to kernel header? I don't really know how Linux kernel works, so the Step 6.1 is for a custom kernel to do with? Thanks!
