  • I down loaded this linpsk as I used winpsk and THOUGHT it would be an easy setup. NO WAY! It seems every program that tries to run on linux is like a virus. I can read emails on linux, and listen to SDRs on linux, but anything else is useless, too many interface routines have to be installed, and then it usually fails to work and an email address is given to contact somewhere that never answers. The best thing in my case is to delete Linux (I will wipe drive) and install windows 7. I used to have Windows XP Pro and everything worked on that platform. Even an OS as old as that is so much easier to use than linux,as nothing written for linux has an install command, just a few readme files that discuss all the bugs the download has, and the famous non-exsistant help line. Has there ever been a download written for linux that installs and runs(the first time) Linux did, but that was the end of it?? SO how does linPsk actually get installed without an install program?? Can you help?? If not, just PLEASE tell me it can't be done so I can delete this mess and start in another direction. Thanks ever so much. Ken BTW, if there's no response in a few days, I will go ahead with the wipe.

  • i'd love to check it out, but compilation requires qmake, and that's not on the fedora repos. the fedora repo has linpsk 1.1, but it's broken [alsa problem]. :( stuck!
