30th June 2020 : Debian has scheduled to end its Long Term Support (LTS) for
Debian 8 ('Jessie')[1]. As a result, the Devuan Project will be archiving its
first release, codename Jessie.  Since Jessie will receive no further
maintenance or updates (including security fixes), it will be removed from
Devuan's mirror network to a new Devuan service that has been set up to hold
historical archived releases[2].

If you are still using Devuan Jessie, please upgrade to Devuan ASCII (or via
ASCII to Beowulf) as a matter of urgency. Any users with very old x86 hardware
(pure Pentium class processors) please note that Debian dropped support for i586
in Debian 9 ('Stretch')[3] so ASCII and subsequent releases will not work for
you.

14 Jun May 2020 : Star Spock - (Devuan Beowulf 3.0.0) built with live-build,
                  Devuan Jessie LTS 5 year support, due to cease very soon!

You will need to upgrade the devuan-keyring before changing the repos to pkgmaster or deb.devuan.org.

1st August 2017 : The build, from today, will be based in Devuan exclusively. 
        Update/new images for xfce Livinia/Grace will be uploaded, but will not be updated further.
		Wheezy images will be removed.

Midnight commander does not display pseudo-graphic characters properly
MC has option -a that disables the use of pseudo graphic characters in line drawing.

format it as exfat 
$ sudo mkfs.exfat -n LABEL /dev/sdXn
other formats are available by simply replacing the exfat with vfat, ntfs or ext3
Check it
$ sudo fsck.exfat /dev/sdXn

	Automounting of large external drives
	If Thunar refuses to mount large removable media (size > 1TB) although thunar-volman and gvfs has been installed, 
	then try installing a different automounter such as udevil or udiskie. The latter should be preferred as it uses 
	udisks2 and thus is compatible with gvfs.
	 
	Trash
	Some programs use ~/.local/share/Trash as a dumping ground, so don't forget to clean it out!
