Perfectly small and refined. Doesn't try to completely replace the whole entire Windows 7 Start menu, bar, tray and goodness knows what else. Just a lovely replacement for the sorely missed Quicklaunch bar. This also helps to make it much more stable when it comes to Windows updates too.

I've been looking for a tool like this for years! For Windows users who wish to keep their desktop tidy and organized without sacrificing productivity, this is THE solution. For me, Linkbar killed two birds (problems) with one stone (application): #1) I can quickly and easily create and maintain multiple Linkbars that look and behave like the default Windows taskbar. Because of this, I have abandoned clumsy, bloated, and annoying "app docks" like Rainmeter, Nexus, Circle Dock, ObjectDock, and others. I realize these "app docks" are popular with, and useful for, many Windows users and I mean no disrespect to their authors. But for me, all the bells and whistles (like animations and fancy skins) were overkill and distracting. #2) Linkbar provides a side benefit that may not have been an intentional feature of the app. The act of creating a linkbar enables me to "exclude," or wall-off "unused" space on my desktop. What does this mean and how does it help me? I have a 24" widescreen monitor with a displayable resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. My eyesight has deteriorated over the years and I now sit closer to the monitor than in my younger days. To avoid excessive craning of my neck to look left and right or up and down, I rarely maximize ANY window to full screen mode - even when viewing windows side by side. (As an aside, I formerly accomplished this task using a nifty app named "Aerial - Claim Desktop Spaces.") With Linkbar, I achieve the same results when defining the horizontal and vertical margin settings for each Linkbar I create. For those interested, my current desktop screen configuration includes: The default Windows taskbar at bottom, One static Linkbar on left side - 120 pixels wide, One static Linkbar at top - 80 pixels tall, One "auto-hide" Linkbar on right with "Show" defined as "Mouse hover." Linkbar is a well-thought-out project with a simple design and easy-to-understand interface. IMHO, it ALSO provides functionality superior to the apps (free and paid) that it replaced. Thank you "aserteam" for your excellent work. Linkbar is very much appreciated and highly recommended!

Nice and easy to use, although unchecking "Keep the taskbar on top of all other windows" does not work. Even if you uncheck the option the taskbar remains on top of all other windows.

It is a great project which i have been looking for recently almost perfect but the only issue and the reason for 1 less start review is that i doesnt have a startup on boot function. I wanted linkbar to be ready when i boot my pc but it doesnt have that feature so i used shortcut and put it in the startup folder(shell:startup) but it takes like over a minute to apper in desktop even then

Great and fully customizable taskbar. Sober and very effective. All that I like !! Possibility to add multiple taskbar like in windows XP ------ Parfait pour ceux nostalgiques de la possibilité de mettre plusieurs barres de tâches comme dans windows XP. this soft only open the folder in link bar. if I can select one folder to show menu too, i's more usuful. このソフトは登録したフォルダーをクリックすると開くだけなので、 メニューとしてフォルダーの中身を表示させることも選べれば より使い勝手が良くなると思います。
