This is one of the best discoveries I have made. I love the way that it automatically saves to a specified folder with an increasing suffix to the filename. So easy to manage. Something useful I found on MS Expression Encoder (for capturing screen video captures): If the "caputure a screen area" would default to the last area used, so that you can make repeated captures of the same area on the screen.
Not always functioning in Windows7 x64, sometimes I'll come back to find Windows asking to terminate it because it's stopped responding after running a few days without a reboot. Other times it'll forget its settings & not give a dialog from keystrokes.
I was looking for a program to capture the screen including the mouse pointer. There is a checkbox for this in the options, but unfortunately it doesn't seem to work with Windows 7. If you don't need to capture the mouse pointer, the program works fine.
