  • Uninstall it is broken
  • Don't wast your time with this product . UNSECURED CONNECTION on every page I visit... Is it too hard to test a product before releasing it to the public? This product is sloppy
  • My laptop froze when installing it .... after that there was an error message while I was trying to unnistall .
  • The browser always runs in the background, older versions (from the 'old' folder) work fine but latest builds like light version 49 do not work and always run in the background I am using Windows 10 (Version 1809) (64 bit)
  • Good. It's lightness and speed makes me feel much happier than using Firefox. I just printed with it! While the feature listing says it does not supports printing!(And that was about to make me give up on it before even testing it). The only real issue I've seen is "Rarely incorrect font rendering", that is, in my mail site(chmail.ir) regular mail titles are incorrectly shown as bold, just equal to bold ones, while Firefox does not do that. @freddy92: You probably have an anti-virus that tries to scan encrypted(https) connections, like Kaspersky. These anti-viruses install something like a driver in the middle, catching all the connections. It's like a man-in-the-middle attack, but there's actually security job taking place. So to open all https sites, the browser would need the Kaspersky https certificate as well. These anti-viruses typically install their certificate for browsers automatically to enable them opening https sites, but probably not for browsers that are installed later. That is the case with Kaspersky(and probably some other anti-viruses). So you have to install anti-virus' certificate manually. You can find instructions for how to do this in your anti-virus program by searching of course.
  • poor at everything
  • It's really good, actually. But lots of sites inaccessible - "Your connection is not secure" with no option to add exceptions. I mean... How harmful is lastpass.com, for instance? All those sites open in other Mozilla-based browsers - except this one, Light.
  • Does what it says, haven't used it for long yet but it's pretty straightforward But then again, I don't really use most of the features in firefox so this works great for me like the clean interface that firefox used to have
  • As long as HTML5 keeps being supported, that is the main thing. The second main thing is addon compatibility which has to suffer due to items being excluding from the build. So please, just tell us what you exclude so we can better predict addon compatiblity/conflicts. Just tested Light 48, and its working great. Awaiting Light 49 64 bit. Since you unlikely have a large team of devs behind you, I would focus on the 64 bit version. Don't worry most users are not adventurers when it comes to browsers and even the ones that are are likely to go back the moment they find out something does not work. This is the reason Windows remain #1. The people getting light are people looking for better performance so why bother with the 32 bit variant. Make the best 64 version, and people will notice, but not overnight.
  • 访问https的sourceforge.net,显示:您的连接不安全
  • Awesome work, but I'd love to see a way to have sync implemented (possibly as an addon, as I understand your goal is to make this as light as possible) Thanks!
  • Can you explain this?: Your other versions are the same. Has noone noticed this before? ----virustotal.com/en/file/9a6cf518133e1ec2b4245ea5a62763ed35e6afb17c331c356334bc59d865baef/analysis/1470820377/ ------malwr.com/analysis/MGFhYzYwZGMxNmI1NDM4YjkyMGYzYTBjMjhmZmY0NTE/
  • Excellent
  • This flavor of FF is stripped from useless "features" and is smooth to use. Some addons have problems due to missing telemetry or local storage (?) services, but developer provides tailored addons that work with Light which is great.
  • It's very light and fast on my old laptop. Thanks man. But it's not have sync and can you make a portable version? Thanks man, great job!
  • the browser is much more faster than, original ff, especially for a device on a single gig of ram running atom. but i am so frustrated cause it lacks support for: 1. greaseymonkey 2. whatsapp web i wish the developer can fix this in future update, when the fix is done, it will become my default browser.very good job
  • Good job, it's much faster than original FF. There's only one thing that prevents me from using it as my main browser. Some add-ons just don't work. At first I thought that's because of Firefox's jump to 64 bit after 42 version, but I did some tests and addons that does not work with Light (both x64 and x32) works well with normal Firefox (also both x64 and x32) builds. As an example I can put here the PopVideo add-on. I don't know if You can fix it, but if You could take a look, I would appreciate that.
  • how to run firefox light Browser with firefox at the same time
  • Definitely better than the official build, the the project updating!!!
  • Everything was fine with version 40 untill Youtube made HTML5 video the default player and no amount of tweaking in about:config could restore flash as the default player, so I suppose I might need the switch user agent extension. I tried updating to Light version 41 but the application would not start and this message was displayed: 'The program can't start because api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer'. The problem is that the KB2999226 (Universal CRT) which is part of the Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 failed to install. In other words this application no longer supports Windows XP. I find it so frustrating that Sourceforge projects do do not mention system requirements in the terse description and there is usually little other documentation about issues like HTML5 video I mentioned previously. I suppose I will have to move to Midori or the Atom/XP version of Pale Moon.
  • It crashed in the middle of an important transaction I was making...
  • Hello this project is really a intelligent version of firefox, i really hate all the bloatware that ff in the last years has inserted in his number one browser. However, i think that the removal of webgl isn't really a good job, because it's becoming a stardard in web. I have reviewed 4 stars only for this small problem, and i can't still uninstall original ff because i need it for visiting a small amount of websites.
  • Edit: previous issues gone...using v4.0 now ... superb browser... now even lighter!

  • I love Light! It is the fastest browser I ever used. I use it on my new and old machines. But I'm actually missing WebM support. Since last year, many sites start using WebM more and more.
  • Gran trabajo "Light 47.0" Gracias
