ldapcat - LDAP equivalent of ypcat and ypmatch Copyright (c) 2003-2017, Larry Lile. All rights reserved. This package is free software; you can redistribute it and/or modify it under the terms of the BSD software license. ldapcat is a small utility intended to be a direct replacement for ypcat and ypmatch. In order to have ldapcat operate as a replacement for ypmatch it must also be installed as ldapmatch, or symlink'd by the name ldapmatch. If you use multiple bases for autofs maps, you will need to make sure that the base is configured in /etc/autofs.conf. This may be redundant if you are running sssd, however currently the sssd developers only allow root access to sssd.conf because passwords might be stored there. ldapcat requires Perl 5.005_03 or higher, Net::LDAP and URI. Caveats: ldapcat does not support shadow passwords and likely never will for security reasons. Before installing ldapcat you should have a working knowlege of LDAP and perl. The supplied maps are relativly generic and should be reviewed before use to insure that they meet your needs. $Header: svn+ssh://lile@svn.code.sf.net/p/led/code/trunk/led/README.ldapcat 163 2017-06-09 18:44:15Z lile $
