The difference between the releases is that in the windows release an exe containing the jar file is added and in the Linux release an executable FileSort.run file is included which contains "java -jar FileSort.jar".

Both releases use the same jar file and will likely work on many other operating systems although at this point it has only been tested on Ubuntu and Windows 7.
