Lang Switcher для Windows 0.95.0 — двойное нажатие Shift

Lang Switcher исправляет слово, набранное в неверной раскладке клавиатуры. Нажмите горячую клавишу — по умолчанию Pause/Break — последнее набранное слово перекодируется в другую раскладку, а раскладка окна переключится. Нажмите ещё раз — исходный текст вернётся побитово. Выделенный текст перекодируется через буфер обмена с восстановлением всех его форматов. Программа делает одну вещь, живёт в трее, ничего не отправляет, не скачивает и не запускает.

Что изменилось.

• Горячей клавишей можно назначить двойное нажатие Shift: в настройках — «Задать» и Shift два раза подряд, поле покажет «Shift, Shift». Два коротких касания Shift перекодируют слово, ещё два — вернут его. Удобно, если на клавиатуре нет Pause и не хочется тянуться к сочетанию.
• Касание — Shift нажат и отпущен не дольше чем за 0,4 с, второе касание — не позже 0,4 с от начала первого. Обычный набор с Shift не затронут: заглавные буквы, Alt+Shift (переключение раскладки) и Shift со щелчком мыши (выделение) касаниями не считаются.
• Нажатия Shift программа не глушит — их видят и другие программы. Если у программы на двойной Shift своя команда (поиск по всему в средах JetBrains), она выполнится тоже.
• Пять нажатий Shift подряд Windows считает своим сочетанием и предлагает включить залипание клавиш. Пока выбран двойной Shift, программа это сочетание выключает — только до выхода, в настройки Windows ничего не записывается; при выборе другой клавиши, выходе и удалении оно возвращается. Включённое залипание клавиш программа не трогает.
• Двойным назначается только Shift; Ctrl и Alt — только вместе с клавишей, как в 0.93.0.
• Файл настроек получил поле [hotkey] trigger и метку схемы 8. Если вернуться на 0.94 или раньше, старая версия файл не перепишет, но двойное нажатие не поймёт и будет отвечать на Pause.

Установка. Windows 10 или 11. Скачайте LangSwitcher-setup.exe (2 869 704 байт, SHA-256 7CD3E21B8508F685DC5DBFA2B99A87ED860312F1561F79577C844A1DD360B003) и запустите. Ставится поверх 0.94.0, 0.93.0, 0.92.0, 0.91.0 и 0.90.0.

Честно о подписи. Как и в 0.94.0: программа и установщик подписаны самодельным сертификатом автора «Panda Koder», а не сертификатом удостоверяющего центра, поэтому запрос UAC при запуске установщика жёлтый, а издатель в нём — «неизвестный». Полная версия работает и в окнах программ, запущенных от имени администратора, благодаря сертификату, который установщик создаёт на вашем компьютере: только для подписи кода, ключ уничтожается сразу после подписи, удаление программы убирает сертификат. Установщик и подпись в 0.95.0 не менялись.

Окно 0,4 с выбрано без замера — как умолчание, близкое к двойному щелчку Windows. Если двойное нажатие срабатывает у вас само или не срабатывает, когда должно, — напишите автору: окно поправится в следующей версии.

Не проверено приборами: команда сред JetBrains на двойной Shift — по их справке. Если, пока программа работает с двойным Shift, поменять залипание клавиш в «Параметрах» Windows, они могут сохранить выключенное сочетание насовсем — так следует из устройства Windows, не замерено; вернуть его можно там же. После падения программы сочетание вернётся при следующем входе в систему.

Lang Switcher for Windows 0.95.0 — a double press of Shift

Lang Switcher fixes a word typed in the wrong keyboard layout. Press the hotkey — Pause/Break by default: the last typed word is converted to the other layout and the window's layout switches; press again and the original text comes back byte for byte. Selected text is converted through the clipboard with every clipboard format restored. The program does one thing, lives in the tray, and sends, downloads and runs nothing.

What changed.

• The hotkey can be a double press of Shift: in the settings, click "Set" and press Shift twice in a row; the field shows "Shift, Shift". Two short taps of Shift convert the word, two more bring it back. Handy when the keyboard has no Pause and you would rather not reach for a combination.
• A tap is Shift pressed and released within 0.4 s, and the second tap begins within 0.4 s of the first. Ordinary typing with Shift is not affected: capital letters, Alt+Shift (the layout switch) and Shift with a mouse click (selection) are not taps.
• The program does not swallow Shift — other programs see it too. A program with its own command on a double Shift (Search Everywhere in JetBrains IDEs) will run it as well.
• Windows treats five presses of Shift in a row as its own shortcut and offers to turn on Sticky Keys. While the double Shift is the hotkey, the program turns that shortcut off — until it exits, nothing is saved in the settings of Windows; choosing another key, exiting or uninstalling brings it back. Sticky Keys turned on are left alone.
• Only Shift can be pressed twice; Ctrl and Alt go only with a key, as in 0.93.0.
• The settings file has a new field, [hotkey] trigger, and schema stamp 8. If you go back to 0.94 or older, the old version will not rewrite the file, but it will not understand the double press either and will answer to Pause.

Install. Windows 10 or 11. Download LangSwitcher-setup.exe (2,869,704 bytes, SHA-256 7CD3E21B8508F685DC5DBFA2B99A87ED860312F1561F79577C844A1DD360B003) and run it. Installs over 0.94.0, 0.93.0, 0.92.0, 0.91.0 and 0.90.0.

About the signature, honestly. As in 0.94.0: the program and the installer are signed with the author's own certificate, "Panda Koder", not with one issued by a certification authority, so the UAC prompt of the installer is yellow and names the publisher as unknown. The full version also works in windows of programs run as administrator thanks to the certificate the installer makes on your computer: for code signing only, the key is destroyed right after signing, and uninstalling removes the certificate. The installer and the signature did not change in 0.95.0.

The 0.4 s window was chosen without a measurement — as a default close to the double click of Windows. If the double press fires by itself, or does not fire when it should, tell the author: the window will be adjusted in the next version.

Not checked by instruments: the command of JetBrains IDEs on a double Shift — from their documentation. If Sticky Keys are changed in the Settings of Windows while the program runs with the double Shift, Settings may keep the shortcut off for good — this follows from how Windows works and was not measured; it can be turned back on in the same place. After a crash of the program the shortcut comes back at the next sign-in.
