Lang Switcher для Windows 0.91.0 — ремонт поставки

⚠ Если вы скачали 0.90.0 — замените её этой сборкой. 0.90.0 запускалась только на машине автора: на другой Windows программа не стартовала (окно «Сервер возвратил ссылку»), а установщик заканчивался окном «CreateProcess failed; code 740». 0.91.0 исправляет оба дефекта; установка поверх 0.90.0 работает.

Lang Switcher исправляет слово, набранное в неверной раскладке клавиатуры. Нажмите Pause/Break — последнее набранное слово перекодируется в другую раскладку, а раскладка окна переключится. Нажмите ещё раз — исходный текст вернётся побитово. Выделенный текст перекодируется через буфер обмена с восстановлением всех его форматов. Программа делает одну вещь, живёт в трее, ничего не отправляет, не скачивает и не запускает.

Что изменилось.

• Установщик ставит полную версию — ту, что работает и в окнах программ, запущенных от имени администратора. Для этого он создаёт на вашем компьютере сертификат «Lang Switcher for Windows (local)»: только для подписи кода, не удостоверяющий центр; подписывает им программу и сразу уничтожает закрытый ключ — подписать этим сертификатом что-либо ещё нельзя. Сертификат лежит в «Доверенных корневых центрах сертификации» компьютера, копия — в папке программы; удаление программы убирает его. В сеть установщик не ходит.
• Если сертификат создать не удалось, ставится запасная версия — тот же код без uiAccess: работает везде, кроме окон программ, запущенных от имени администратора. Её же ставит запуск LangSwitcher-setup.exe /NOLOCALCERT.
• После установки программа запускается без окна ошибки.
• Работающую программу деинсталлятор закрывает сам, как Windows при выходе из системы; только если она не закрылась за 10 секунд, он просит выйти из неё (меню значка в трее → «Выход»), а «Отмена» отменяет удаление целиком.
• Мастер установки говорит на языке Windows (тринадцать языков программы; греческой системе — английский).
• Автор называется «Panda Koder».

Установка. Windows 10 или 11. Скачайте LangSwitcher-setup.exe (2 863 448 байт, SHA-256 4D1C1455FF7D106EC37990ABA2AE7790B91C096B818AF152BECAE76CCB1F48D5) и запустите.

Честно о подписи. Программа и установщик подписаны самодельным сертификатом автора «Panda Koder», а не сертификатом удостоверяющего центра: подпись удостоверяет, что файлы не менялись после сборки, но Windows на вашем компьютере этому сертификату не доверяет. Поэтому запрос UAC при запуске установщика жёлтый, а издатель в нём — «неизвестный»: так и должно быть. Полной версии программы Windows нужна доверенная подпись — её даёт сертификат, который установщик создаёт у вас (см. выше): ключ уничтожается сразу после подписи, удаление программы убирает сертификат. Проверено на чистой Windows 11 Pro (UAC на рекомендуемом уровне, Защитник Microsoft включён): установка, работа в Блокноте, запущенном от имени администратора, две установки подряд, сбой при создании сертификата и удаление, в том числе работающей программы, — Защитник не сработал ни разу (ни одного обнаружения и ни одной блокировки в журналах Защитника и Code Integrity). Не проверено: окно SmartScreen для файла, скачанного браузером (если появится «Windows защитила ваш компьютер» — «Подробнее» → «Выполнить в любом случае»), и работа при включённом «Интеллектуальном управлении приложениями» (на проверочной машине оно было в режиме оценки). Исходный код открыт: программу можно собрать и подписать самому.

Lang Switcher for Windows 0.91.0 — the delivery repaired

⚠ If you downloaded 0.90.0, replace it with this build. 0.90.0 ran only on the author's machine: on any other Windows the program did not start ("A referral was returned from the server"), and the installer ended with a "CreateProcess failed; code 740" window. 0.91.0 fixes both; installing over 0.90.0 works.

Lang Switcher fixes a word typed in the wrong keyboard layout. Press Pause/Break: the last typed word is converted to the other layout and the window's layout switches; press again and the original text comes back byte for byte. Selected text is converted through the clipboard with every clipboard format restored. The program does one thing, lives in the tray, and sends, downloads and runs nothing.

What changed.

• The installer installs the full version — the one that also works in windows of programs run as administrator. To do so it creates a certificate on your computer, "Lang Switcher for Windows (local)": for code signing only, not a certification authority; signs the program with it and destroys the private key at once — nothing else can ever be signed with that certificate. It lies in the computer's Trusted Root Certification Authorities, with a copy in the program folder; uninstalling the program removes it. The installer does not use the network.
• If the certificate cannot be created, the base version is installed — the same code without uiAccess: it works everywhere except in windows of programs run as administrator. LangSwitcher-setup.exe /NOLOCALCERT installs it too.
• After installation the program starts without an error window.
• The uninstaller closes a running program by itself, the way Windows does at sign-out; only if it has not closed within 10 seconds does it ask you to exit it (the tray icon's menu → Exit), and Cancel cancels the uninstall entirely.
• The setup wizard speaks the language of Windows (the program's thirteen languages; Greek Windows gets English).
• The author is named "Panda Koder".

Install. Windows 10 or 11. Download LangSwitcher-setup.exe (2,863,448 bytes, SHA-256 4D1C1455FF7D106EC37990ABA2AE7790B91C096B818AF152BECAE76CCB1F48D5) and run it.

About the signature, honestly. The program and the installer are signed with the author's own certificate, "Panda Koder", not with one issued by a certification authority: the signature proves the files have not changed since the build, but Windows on your computer does not trust that certificate. That is why the UAC prompt of the installer is yellow and names the publisher as unknown — this is expected. The full version of the program needs a signature Windows trusts; it gets one from the certificate the installer makes on your computer (see above): the key is destroyed right after signing, and uninstalling the program removes the certificate. Tested on a clean Windows 11 Pro (UAC at the recommended level, Microsoft Defender on): installing, working in Notepad run as administrator, installing twice in a row, a failure while making the certificate, and uninstalling, a running program included — Defender did not react once (not a single detection or block in the Defender and Code Integrity logs). Not tested: the SmartScreen window for a file downloaded with a browser (if "Windows protected your PC" appears: "More info" → "Run anyway"), and Smart App Control switched on (it was in evaluation mode on the test machine). The source code is open: you can build and sign the program yourself.
