Lang Switcher 1.4.2 — Блокнот, кавычки языка и пара раскладок

Lang Switcher исправляет слово, набранное в неверной раскладке клавиатуры. Нажмите горячую клавишу — по умолчанию Pause/Break — последнее набранное слово перекодируется в другую раскладку, а раскладка окна переключится. Нажмите ещё раз — исходный текст вернётся побитово. Выделенный текст перекодируется через буфер обмена с восстановлением всех его форматов. Программа делает одну вещь и живёт в трее.

Что изменилось.

• Блокнот Windows 11: набранное слово теперь выделяется по его позиции в тексте, а не нажатиями Shift+Left. Тамильский конъюнкт க்ஷ Блокнот проходит то одной остановкой каретки, то тремя, и никакой счёт не верен сразу для обоих случаев: замена то съедала пробел перед словом, то оставляла перед ним кусок (X க்Ta). Сообщения полю — только две позиции, текста поля программа не читает.
• Блокнот Windows 11, способ замены backspace (только в файле настроек): замена теперь идёт выделением, как при способе по умолчанию. После Backspace Блокнот терял первый знак вставки, повторял её последний знак и снимал тамильскую согласную с пулли то одним нажатием, то двумя.
• Кавычки в окнах программы теперь те, что приняты в языке: английский, турецкий и португальский — “…”, немецкий и чешский — „…“, польский — „…”. Тем же знаком — строка установщика о кнопке «Нет» на немецком, чешском, польском, турецком и португальском. В украинских строках поправлены кальки и разнобой в словах («папка журналу», «програма встановлення») и апостроф.
• Аварийная комбинация Ctrl+Alt+Shift+F12 больше не доходит до окна под ней: раньше Блокнот успевал заменить последний знак его кодом (X ghbdtn становился X ghbdt6E). Она по-прежнему срабатывает и при зависшей программе.
• Файл настроек: pair_source и pair_target принимают идентификатор варианта языка (0x00020422). Раньше такое значение молча не находило раскладку, и вместо неё работали первые две раскладки системы. Если варианта нет в системе, замена не выполняется, а в журнале появляется строка pair variant layout missing.
• Пара раскладок находит раскладку среди первых 64 в системе, а не 8: раньше окно настроек показывало девятую как действующую, а горячая клавиша не срабатывала. Режим «Несколько раскладок» по-прежнему перебирает не больше восьми.
• Что не изменилось: горячая клавиша, вид окон, набор языков интерфейса, способ замены по умолчанию.

Установка. Windows 10 или 11. Если у вас 1.4.1, 1.4.0, 1.3.0, 1.2.0, 1.1.0, 1.0.0 или 0.104.0, ничего делать не нужно — программа обновится сама в течение суток. Иначе скачайте LangSwitcher-setup.exe (4 222 288 байт, SHA-256 B375AEDE81F81BFDE020957C6CFE5E928A3843467DE2F0B5B80F61B7D5E66EB9) и запустите. Ставится поверх 1.4.1, 1.4.0, 1.3.0, 1.2.0, 1.1.0, 1.0.0, 0.104.0, 0.103.0, 0.102.0, 0.101.0, 0.100.0, 0.99.0, 0.98.0, 0.97.0, 0.96.0, 0.95.0, 0.94.0, 0.93.0, 0.92.0, 0.91.0 и 0.90.0.

Честно о подписи. Как и в 1.4.1: программа и установщик подписаны самодельным сертификатом автора «Panda Koder», а не сертификатом удостоверяющего центра, поэтому запрос UAC при запуске установщика жёлтый, а издатель в нём — «неизвестный». Полная версия работает и в окнах программ, запущенных от имени администратора, благодаря сертификату, который установщик создаёт на вашем компьютере: только для подписи кода, ключ уничтожается сразу после подписи, удаление программы убирает сертификат. Обновления ставятся тем же установщиком, сам, без запроса UAC.

Если браузер или Windows предупреждают. Новый выпуск скачивают пока редко, а подписи удостоверяющего центра у программы нет, поэтому перед установкой будут предупреждения — это ожидаемо. Edge: в загрузках «…» → «Сохранить» → в окне «Удалить ▾» → «Все равно сохранить». Chrome: «Скачать подозрительный файл». При запуске Windows может показать «Система Windows защитила ваш компьютер» — «Подробнее» → «Выполнить в любом случае». Затем жёлтый запрос UAC — «Да». Сверить файл можно по SHA-256 выше.

Что измерено. В виртуальной машине Windows 11, клавиатура снаружи. Блокнот, тамильское слово: первое слово сеанса — 10 из 10, второе слово подряд — 5 из 5 (раньше пробел съедался 3 из 3), слово после латиницы при Alt+Shift — 8 из 8, поставка — 10 из 10 при каждом из двух способов. Три нажатия одной пачкой — 40 из 40 (до правки — 26 из 30), слово и клавиша одной пачкой — 40 из 40. Тайское слово — 45 из 45, хинди — 3 из 3 каждое слово, пара: идентификатор варианта — 2 из 2, варианта нет — отказ 1 из 1. Аварийная комбинация: текст цел 3 из 3, 15…19 мс, при замороженном главном потоке тоже. Поставка прошла стенд: перевод в русскую, немецкую и французскую раскладки. Остатки, которые мы знаем. Блокнот: буква, набранная почти одновременно с горячей клавишей, встанет перед заменой, а не после неё (X aTa вместо X Taa, 20 из 20 при клавишах одной пачкой): выделение и вставка теперь не один пакет. Текст не теряется. Насколько близко надо нажать при обычном наборе, не измерено; буква почти через секунду — верно 10 из 10. Блокнот, тайское слово: раньше конец вставки изредка повторял последний знак или пропадал (3 из 120 при разных сборках); на новом пути 0 из 45, но при такой частоте это не доказательство. Не проверено приборами: Windows 10 — стенды работали на Windows 11; обновление 1.4.1 → 1.4.2 по ленте; запасной путь выделения, когда Блокнот не ответил на сообщение, — только тестами, на стенде он не срабатывал.

Lang Switcher 1.4.2 — Notepad, quotation marks of the language and the layout pair

Lang Switcher fixes a word typed in the wrong keyboard layout. Press the hotkey — Pause/Break by default: the last typed word is converted to the other layout and the window's layout switches; press again and the original text comes back byte for byte. Selected text is converted through the clipboard with every clipboard format restored. The program does one thing and lives in the tray.

What changed.

• Notepad of Windows 11: a typed word is now selected by its position in the text and not by Shift+Left presses. Notepad passes the Tamil conjunct க்ஷ with one caret stop or with three, and no count is right for both: the replacement either ate the space before the word or left a piece in front of it (X க்Ta). The field is sent two positions only; the program does not read its text.
• Notepad of Windows 11, the backspace replacement method (configuration file only): the replacement now goes by the selection, like the default method. After Backspace Notepad lost the first character of the insertion, repeated its last character, and took a Tamil consonant with its pulli off sometimes with one press, sometimes with two.
• The program's windows now quote the way the language does: English, Turkish and Portuguese “…”, German and Czech „…“, Polish „…”. The same marks in the line of the installer about the «No» button in German, Czech, Polish, Turkish and Portuguese. The Ukrainian strings got their calques and mixed words fixed («папка журналу», «програма встановлення») and the apostrophe.
• The emergency chord Ctrl+Alt+Shift+F12 no longer reaches the window under it: Notepad used to replace the last character with its code (X ghbdtn became X ghbdt6E). It still works with the program hung.
• Configuration file: pair_source and pair_target accept the identifier of a variant of a language (0x00020422). Such a value used to find no layout in silence, and the first two layouts of the system worked in its place. If the variant is not in the system, nothing is replaced and the journal gets the line pair variant layout missing.
• The layout pair is looked for among the first 64 layouts of the system, not 8: the settings window used to show the ninth as valid while the hotkey did nothing. The «Several layouts» mode still walks at most eight.
• Unchanged: the hotkey, the look of the windows, the set of interface languages, the default replacement method.

Installation. Windows 10 or 11. If you have 1.4.1, 1.4.0, 1.3.0, 1.2.0, 1.1.0, 1.0.0 or 0.104.0, there is nothing to do — the program updates itself within a day. Otherwise download LangSwitcher-setup.exe (4,222,288 bytes, SHA-256 B375AEDE81F81BFDE020957C6CFE5E928A3843467DE2F0B5B80F61B7D5E66EB9) and run it. It installs over 1.4.1, 1.4.0, 1.3.0, 1.2.0, 1.1.0, 1.0.0, 0.104.0, 0.103.0, 0.102.0, 0.101.0, 0.100.0, 0.99.0, 0.98.0, 0.97.0, 0.96.0, 0.95.0, 0.94.0, 0.93.0, 0.92.0, 0.91.0 and 0.90.0.

About the signature, honestly. As in 1.4.1: the program and the installer are signed with the author's own certificate «Panda Koder», not one from a certificate authority, so the UAC prompt of the installer is yellow and names an unknown publisher. The full version also works in the windows of programs run as administrator, thanks to a certificate the installer makes on your computer: for code signing only, its key destroyed right after signing, removed together with the program. Updates are installed by the same installer, by itself, without a UAC prompt.

If the browser or Windows warns you. Few people download a new release at first and the program has no certificate authority signature, so warnings before installing are expected. Edge: in downloads «…» → «Keep» → «Show more ▾» → «Keep anyway». Chrome: «Download suspicious file». Windows may show «Windows protected your PC» — «More info» → «Run anyway». Then the yellow UAC prompt — «Yes». The file can be checked against the SHA-256 above.

What was measured. In a Windows 11 virtual machine, the keyboard from outside. Notepad, a Tamil word: the first word of a session — 10 of 10; the second word in a row — 5 of 5 (the space used to go, 3 of 3); a word after Latin with Alt+Shift — 8 of 8; the delivery — 10 of 10 under each of the two methods. Three presses in one batch — 40 of 40 (26 of 30 before the fix), the word and the key in one batch — 40 of 40. A Thai word — 45 of 45, Hindi — 3 of 3 each word, the pair: the identifier of a variant — 2 of 2, the variant absent — refused 1 of 1. The emergency chord: the text intact 3 of 3, 15…19 ms, with the main thread frozen as well. The delivery passed the stand: conversion into the Russian, German and French layouts. Remainders we know of. Notepad: a letter typed almost at once with the hotkey lands in front of the replacement and not behind it (X aTa for X Taa, 20 of 20 with the keys in one batch): the selection and the insertion are no longer one packet. No text is lost. How close it has to be in ordinary typing was not measured; a letter almost a second later is right, 10 of 10. Notepad, a Thai word: the end of the insertion used to repeat its last character or go missing now and then (3 of 120 over different builds); 0 of 45 on the new path, which at that rate proves nothing. Not checked by instruments: Windows 10 — the stands ran on Windows 11; the update 1.4.1 → 1.4.2 by the feed; the fallback selection, for when Notepad does not answer the message — by tests only, it did not fire on the stand.
