Lang Switcher 1.3.0 — интерфейс ещё на 30 языках, всего 44

Lang Switcher исправляет слово, набранное в неверной раскладке клавиатуры. Нажмите горячую клавишу — по умолчанию Pause/Break — последнее набранное слово перекодируется в другую раскладку, а раскладка окна переключится. Нажмите ещё раз — исходный текст вернётся побитово. Выделенный текст перекодируется через буфер обмена с восстановлением всех его форматов. Программа делает одну вещь и живёт в трее.

Что изменилось.

• Интерфейс ещё на 30 языках: хинди, бенгальский, урду, панджаби, маратхи, телугу, тамильский, персидский, гуджарати, тайский, каннада, ория, малаялам, узбекский (латиница и кириллица), непальский, ассамский, азербайджанский, кхмерский, казахский, сербский (кириллица и латиница), уйгурский, болгарский, армянский, лаосский, белорусский, татарский, грузинский и македонский — всего 44. Урду, персидский и уйгурский читаются справа налево, как иврит и арабский.
• При первом запуске программа говорит на языке Windows; сербский и узбекский выбираются по письму Windows.
• Список «Язык интерфейса» в настройках: сверху язык Windows, английский, языки ваших раскладок и русский, под чертой — остальные по самоназванию.
• Окна языков с высокими письменами (тамильский, малаялам и ещё восемь) на небольших экранах могут открываться на шаг шрифта мельче — чтобы окно целиком помещалось на экране. У прежних 14 языков вид окон не изменился.
• Письмо знакомства показывает пример на каждом языке — слово, набранное в английской раскладке, и то, что из него получается.
• Установщик тоже говорит на 44 языках.
• На арабском и иврите строка «Действующий цикл» / «Действующая пара» в настройках читается в верном порядке при любых именах раскладок (в 1.2.0 при именах на арабском или иврите она шла задом наперёд); в арабском списке — арабская запятая «،».
• Подсказка в окне «От автора» о мастере обращений теперь точна: мастер отправляет обращение сам, когда вы нажмёте «Отправить».
• Что не изменилось: горячая клавиша, вид окон на прежних языках, подпись автора. Файл настроек получил новую отметку схемы (9): если вернуться на 1.2.0, она прочтёт файл и оставит его как есть.

Установка. Windows 10 или 11. Если у вас 1.2.0, 1.1.0, 1.0.0 или 0.104.0, ничего делать не нужно — программа обновится сама в течение суток. Иначе скачайте LangSwitcher-setup.exe (4 050 192 байт, SHA-256 DB42A23E6F1CFC017A282E1B67B0081CB9013D4BA7F833456EB361E5B665AE62) и запустите. Ставится поверх 1.2.0, 1.1.0, 1.0.0, 0.104.0, 0.103.0, 0.102.0, 0.101.0, 0.100.0, 0.99.0, 0.98.0, 0.97.0, 0.96.0, 0.95.0, 0.94.0, 0.93.0, 0.92.0, 0.91.0 и 0.90.0.

Честно о подписи. Как и в 1.2.0: программа и установщик подписаны самодельным сертификатом автора «Panda Koder», а не сертификатом удостоверяющего центра, поэтому запрос UAC при запуске установщика жёлтый, а издатель в нём — «неизвестный». Полная версия работает и в окнах программ, запущенных от имени администратора, благодаря сертификату, который установщик создаёт на вашем компьютере: только для подписи кода, ключ уничтожается сразу после подписи, удаление программы убирает сертификат. Обновления ставятся тем же установщиком, сам, без запроса UAC.

Честно о переводах. Носителей новых языков у автора нет: каждый перевод сделан и построчно вычитан отдельно, по правилам адаптации и словарю терминов Windows, но ошибки возможны. Если увидите неточность на своём языке — напишите через мастер «Написать автору…»: исправим в следующей версии.

Если браузер или Windows предупреждают. Новый выпуск скачивают пока редко, а подписи удостоверяющего центра у программы нет, поэтому перед установкой будут предупреждения — это ожидаемо. Edge: в загрузках «…» → «Сохранить» → в окне «Удалить ▾» → «Все равно сохранить». Chrome: «Скачать подозрительный файл». При запуске Windows может показать «Система Windows защитила ваш компьютер» — «Подробнее» → «Выполнить в любом случае». Затем жёлтый запрос UAC — «Да». Сверить файл можно по SHA-256 выше.

Что измерено. Каждая строка всех 44 языков проходит сторож: подстановки, письмо языка (без знаков чужого письма и без латинских букв внутри кириллических слов), помещается ли в своё место при 12 сочетаниях масштаба и шрифта. Слово примера в письме знакомства на каждом языке снято с таблиц раскладок Windows, а не по памяти. Поставка прошла стенд в виртуальной машине Windows 11: окна языков справа налево и сложных письмён, даты, пример «Привет», шаг шрифта при 100, 125 и 150 %, обновление 1.2.0 → 1.3.0 и возврат на 1.2.0. Две ошибки, найденные стендом, исправлены до выпуска: подписи разделов на хинди, тайском, тамильском и других языках с надстрочными знаками рвали буквы, а строка «Действующий цикл» на языках справа налево читалась задом наперёд. Не проверено приборами: Windows 10 — стенды работали на Windows 11; первый запуск на сербской и узбекской Windows — выбор по письму держит тест, на стенде язык Windows не встал.

Lang Switcher 1.3.0 — the interface in 30 more languages, 44 in all

Lang Switcher fixes a word typed in the wrong keyboard layout. Press the hotkey — Pause/Break by default: the last typed word is converted to the other layout and the window's layout switches; press again and the original text comes back byte for byte. Selected text is converted through the clipboard with every clipboard format restored. The program does one thing and lives in the tray.

What changed.

• The interface in 30 more languages: Hindi, Bengali, Urdu, Punjabi, Marathi, Telugu, Tamil, Persian, Gujarati, Thai, Kannada, Odia, Malayalam, Uzbek (Latin and Cyrillic), Nepali, Assamese, Azerbaijani, Khmer, Kazakh, Serbian (Cyrillic and Latin), Uyghur, Bulgarian, Armenian, Lao, Belarusian, Tatar, Georgian and Macedonian — 44 in all. Urdu, Persian and Uyghur read right to left, as Hebrew and Arabic do.
• On its first start the program speaks the language of Windows; Serbian and Uzbek are chosen by the script of Windows.
• The "Interface language" list of the settings: the language of Windows, English, the languages of your keyboard layouts and Russian on top, the rest under a line, by their own names.
• The windows of languages with tall scripts (Tamil, Malayalam and eight more) may open one font step smaller on small screens, so that the whole window fits; the windows of the 14 earlier languages look as before.
• The welcome letter shows an example in every language — a word typed in the English layout and what it becomes.
• The installer speaks the 44 languages too.
• In Arabic and Hebrew the "Acting cycle" / "Acting pair" line of the settings reads in the right order whatever the names of the layouts (in 1.2.0 it ran backwards with names in Arabic or Hebrew); an Arabic list takes the Arabic comma «،».
• The note about the wizard in the "From the author" window is accurate now: the wizard sends the message itself when you press "Send".
• What did not change: the hotkey, the look of the windows in the earlier languages, the author's signature. The settings file gets a new schema mark (9): if you go back to 1.2.0, it reads the file and leaves it as it is.

Installation. Windows 10 or 11. If you have 1.2.0, 1.1.0, 1.0.0 or 0.104.0, there is nothing to do — the program updates itself within a day. Otherwise download LangSwitcher-setup.exe (4,050,192 bytes, SHA-256 DB42A23E6F1CFC017A282E1B67B0081CB9013D4BA7F833456EB361E5B665AE62) and run it. It installs over 1.2.0, 1.1.0, 1.0.0, 0.104.0, 0.103.0, 0.102.0, 0.101.0, 0.100.0, 0.99.0, 0.98.0, 0.97.0, 0.96.0, 0.95.0, 0.94.0, 0.93.0, 0.92.0, 0.91.0 and 0.90.0.

About the signature, honestly. As in 1.2.0: the program and the installer are signed with the author's own certificate, "Panda Koder", not one from a certificate authority, so the UAC prompt of the installer is yellow and names an unknown publisher. The full version works in the windows of programs run as administrator too, thanks to a certificate the installer creates on your computer: for code signing only, its key destroyed right after signing, removed with the program. Updates are installed by the same installer, on their own, without a UAC prompt.

About the translations, honestly. The author has no native speakers of the new languages: every translation was made and then read line by line separately, by rules of adaptation and a glossary of the terms of Windows, but mistakes are possible. If you see one in your language, write through the "Write to the author" wizard: it will be fixed in the next version.

If the browser or Windows warns you. New releases are downloaded rarely at first and the program has no certificate authority signature, so there will be warnings before installation — that is expected. Edge: in downloads "…" → "Keep" → "Show more ▾" → "Keep anyway". Chrome: "Download suspicious file". Windows may show "Windows protected your PC" — "More info" → "Run anyway". Then the yellow UAC prompt — "Yes". You can check the file by the SHA-256 above.

What was measured. Every string of all 44 languages passes the guard: placeholders, the script of the language (no signs of another script, no Latin letters inside Cyrillic words), and whether it fits its place at 12 pairs of scale and font. The example word of the welcome letter in every language was taken off the tables of the Windows layouts, not from memory. The delivery passed a test bench in a Windows 11 virtual machine: the windows of the right-to-left languages and of the complex scripts, dates, the "Hello" example, the font step at 100, 125 and 150 %, the update 1.2.0 → 1.3.0 and the way back to 1.2.0. Two defects the bench found were fixed before the release: the section captions in Hindi, Thai, Tamil and other languages with marks above and below the letters tore the letters apart, and the "Acting cycle" line read backwards in the right-to-left languages. Not measured: Windows 10 — the test benches ran Windows 11; the first start on a Serbian or Uzbek Windows — the choice by script is held by a test, the language of Windows did not install on the bench.
