Lang Switcher 0.101.0 — имя без «для Windows», а удаление больше не оставляет журнал

Lang Switcher исправляет слово, набранное в неверной раскладке клавиатуры. Нажмите горячую клавишу — по умолчанию Pause/Break — последнее набранное слово перекодируется в другую раскладку, а раскладка окна переключится. Нажмите ещё раз — исходный текст вернётся побитово. Выделенный текст перекодируется через буфер обмена с восстановлением всех его форматов. Программа делает одну вещь, живёт в трее, ничего не отправляет, не скачивает и не запускает.

Что изменилось.

• Программа называется просто «Lang Switcher», без «для Windows»: так теперь называются мастер установки, папка в меню «Пуск», запись в «Приложениях» и описание подписи, которое показывает запрос UAC. Сама программа и её окна назывались так и раньше.
• Сертификат, который установщик создаёт на вашем компьютере, теперь называется «Lang Switcher (local)». При обновлении прежний сертификат («Lang Switcher for Windows (local)») убирается сам.
• При обновлении папка «Пуска» с прежним именем убирается: остаются одна папка «Lang Switcher» с двумя ярлыками и одна запись в «Приложениях».
• Удаление больше не оставляет журнал: файл diag.log в %APPDATA%\Lang_Switcher удаляется всегда. Ответ «Да» на вопрос «Удалить также файл настроек Lang Switcher?» убирает настройки, их резервную копию и обращения, сохранённые мастером «Написать автору», — и папку целиком; ответ «Нет» оставляет настройки, как и раньше.
• Что не изменилось: горячая клавиша, перекодировка, окна и настройки программы, файл настроек (схема 8), подпись автора.

Установка. Windows 10 или 11. Скачайте LangSwitcher-setup.exe (3 481 328 байт, SHA-256 E2EB8D7BC7A908E328B7DF3DC8E1153B77F1FCFE732CCC5FCDAC00BE72E5656D) и запустите. Ставится поверх 0.100.0, 0.99.0, 0.98.0, 0.97.0, 0.96.0, 0.95.0, 0.94.0, 0.93.0, 0.92.0, 0.91.0 и 0.90.0.

Честно о подписи. Как и в 0.100.0: программа и установщик подписаны самодельным сертификатом автора «Panda Koder», а не сертификатом удостоверяющего центра, поэтому запрос UAC при запуске установщика жёлтый, а издатель в нём — «неизвестный». Полная версия работает и в окнах программ, запущенных от имени администратора, благодаря сертификату, который установщик создаёт на вашем компьютере: только для подписи кода, ключ уничтожается сразу после подписи, удаление программы убирает сертификат. В 0.101.0 у этого сертификата новое имя, а сама подпись не менялась.

Если браузер или Windows предупреждают. Новый выпуск скачивают пока редко, а подписи удостоверяющего центра у программы нет, поэтому перед установкой будут предупреждения — это ожидаемо. Edge: в загрузках «…» → «Сохранить» → в окне «Удалить ▾» → «Все равно сохранить». Chrome: «Скачать подозрительный файл». При запуске Windows может показать «Система Windows защитила ваш компьютер» — «Подробнее» → «Выполнить в любом случае». Затем жёлтый запрос UAC — «Да». Сверить файл можно по SHA-256 выше.

Не проверено приборами: Windows 10 — стенды работали на Windows 11; ответ «Да» на вопрос о настройках при удалении — автоматический набор проходит только тихое удаление, ответ «Да» проверен рукой на чистой машине.

Lang Switcher 0.101.0 — the name without "for Windows", and uninstalling no longer leaves the log behind

Lang Switcher fixes a word typed in the wrong keyboard layout. Press the hotkey — Pause/Break by default: the last typed word is converted to the other layout and the window's layout switches; press again and the original text comes back byte for byte. Selected text is converted through the clipboard with every clipboard format restored. The program does one thing, lives in the tray, and sends, downloads and runs nothing.

What changed.

• The program is called simply "Lang Switcher", without "for Windows": that is now the name of the setup wizard, the Start menu folder, the entry in Apps and the description of the signature the UAC prompt shows. The program and its windows were called so before as well.
• The certificate the installer makes on your computer is now called "Lang Switcher (local)". An update removes the old one ("Lang Switcher for Windows (local)") by itself.
• An update removes the Start menu folder of the old name: one folder "Lang Switcher" with two shortcuts and one entry in Apps are left.
• Uninstalling no longer leaves the log behind: diag.log in %APPDATA%\Lang_Switcher is always deleted. "Yes" to "Remove the Lang Switcher settings file as well?" removes the settings, their backup copy and the reports saved by the "Write to the author" wizard — and the whole folder; "No" keeps the settings, as before.
• What did not change: the hotkey, the conversion, the windows and settings of the program, the settings file (schema 8), the author's signature.

Install. Windows 10 or 11. Download LangSwitcher-setup.exe (3,481,328 bytes, SHA-256 E2EB8D7BC7A908E328B7DF3DC8E1153B77F1FCFE732CCC5FCDAC00BE72E5656D) and run it. Installs over 0.100.0, 0.99.0, 0.98.0, 0.97.0, 0.96.0, 0.95.0, 0.94.0, 0.93.0, 0.92.0, 0.91.0 and 0.90.0.

About the signature, honestly. As in 0.100.0: the program and the installer are signed with the author's own certificate, "Panda Koder", not with one issued by a certification authority, so the UAC prompt of the installer is yellow and names the publisher as unknown. The full version also works in windows of programs run as administrator thanks to the certificate the installer makes on your computer: for code signing only, the key is destroyed right after signing, and uninstalling removes the certificate. In 0.101.0 that certificate has a new name; the signature itself did not change.

If the browser or Windows warns you. A new release is still rarely downloaded and the program has no certificate from a certification authority, so you will see warnings before installing — this is expected. Edge: in Downloads, "…" → "Keep" → in the dialog, "Delete ▾" → "Keep anyway". Chrome: "Download suspicious file". When you run it, Windows may show "Windows protected your PC" — "More info" → "Run anyway". Then the yellow UAC prompt — "Yes". You can check the file against the SHA-256 above.

Not checked by instruments: Windows 10 — the test benches ran on Windows 11; "Yes" to the question about the settings at an uninstall — the automatic set runs the silent uninstall only, "Yes" was checked by hand on a clean machine.
