@creek: i think its time to make an official tech demo for ks. let me do the calling. :P
i am calling other willing contributors to collaborate for an official tech demo for konsolscript.
objectives:
1. have a ks mascot like in java. and use it in the official tech demo.
2. push the limits of ks in terms of programmer needs, ex: need for "break" for loops.
3. make the community more active.
work needed:
1. graphics designers
2. sprite artists
3. sound artists (if any :P)
3. ks coders (beginners are welcome)
4. vb coders (to help improve ks engine as demanded)
question is: what type of game? the team will decide on this.
so what does other think?

I think it would be better if we limit the team to the most active users around first. Others are simply beginners. Testing the game and giving input is the best they could give -- unless there are good artists lurking around :D
About the sprites tho. We could not probably rip other games sprite since you want the main characters to be a KS mascot -- hmm, never thought of having a KS mascot; and I don't have an idea what type of mascot, either.
As for the sound, maybe we could use some ripped fx and midis for now.
I have a not-so unique yet non-retro type of game that I want to test on KS -- I suggest we utilize the mouse for controlling an arcade-like game, instead of using the keyboard. I think gameplay will be something like a pick-and-play.

But platform game would require a lot of stage and lots of enemies. We'll have a sprite problem. I was thinking more of a one level for now. Or platformer+RPG twist game.
How will the enemies look like?

i was thinking of a ninja actually. kage means shadow in japanese which is commonly associated with a ninja.

Looks like someone is doing the pig ninja sketch. I'll let you guys see it later once I got it.
