What's new
The draw order can be changed. A style's draw order screen used to be read-only. Now
the left and right arrows move a polygon a level down or up, and Enter takes a level by
number. Polygons the table leaves out, and so never draws, are listed first, where one
arrow puts them in. A polygon added with a joins the other polygons of its level instead
of going to the end of the table.
A section can be deleted. In the type browser, d deletes the section under the cursor
after asking first. The device then draws that type its own way. A polygon's entry in the
draw order goes with it.
Night colours for a single-colour fill. A solid line or polygon with one colour can now be given a night colour. Where night cannot be added, kmap says what to do first.
What's fixed
A fell rim marks a named plateau only. The edge line was drawn around every
natural=fell, which also covers nameless patches of alpine meadow, and there it read as a
fence or a reserve boundary. Those patches now get the fill alone.
Upgrading
Install over the top. On Linux sudo apt install ./kmap_1.3.0_<arch>.deb; on Windows run
the installer; on macOS replace the app. Profiles, styles and cached downloads stay put.
Which file
| System | File |
|---|---|
| Windows | kmap-1.3.0.exe - one installer, whatever the machine |
| macOS | kmap-1.3.0.dmg - one image, whatever the Mac |
| Linux | kmap_1.3.0_amd64.deb for 64-bit x86, kmap_1.3.0_arm64.deb for 64-bit ARM |
Windows 10 1803 or later, macOS 13 or later, Ubuntu 20.04, Debian 11 or later.
dpkg --print-architecture prints the word you need.
First run
Nothing here is code-signed, so the first launch takes one extra click. On Windows: More info, then Run anyway. On macOS: right-click kmap and choose Open; from macOS 15, System Settings, Privacy & Security, Open Anyway.
