KeepUp File Updating Tool is a Windows-based application that allows users to manage and automatically update local files by checking for new versions from specified sources. The program compares the version of the local files with the version available online and downloads new versions when available. It provides a graphical user interface (GUI) and uses a JSON configuration file to store the list of sources and their corresponding local files.

Installation

Download and extract the provided KeepUpTechnicianFileUpdater.zip archive.

Double-click Setup.exe to run the installer.

Usage
Adding a New File Entry

Enter the source (HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, or SFTP) of the file you want to track.

Browse and select the local file you want to compare against the online version.

Click Add Entry to add the file to the list.

Updating Files

To update individual files, select the file in the list and click Update Selected.

To update all files at once, click the Update All button.

Removing a File Entry

Select the file entry from the list.

Click the Remove Entry button.

Confirm the deletion when prompted.

Importing/Exporting File Lists

Import: To import a list of file entries from a JSON file, click Import List and select the file.

Export: To export the current list of file entries (including encrypted credentials, if applicable), click Export List.

Troubleshooting
Missing Files

If the program indicates that a local file is missing:

Ensure the USB drive or storage location where the file resides is properly connected.

Use the Refresh List button to recheck the existence of the local files.

Error Messages

Failed to Load/Save Configuration: Ensure that the program has permission to read and write files in its directory.

Failed to Download File: Check your internet connection, verify the URL or server credentials, and ensure SFTP/FTP servers are accessible.
