  • this is a good open source for ASR
  • Please note that Kaldi no longer lives here. See kaldi-asr.org and github.com/kaldi-asr. We will try to keep the svn repository up-to-date with the github source, but this is not happening just yet.

  • Very helpful project
  • Very comprehensive, has lots of examples and returns excellent results.
  • state-of-art speech recognition toolkit
  • Good work!
  • Well designed with lost of examples and excellent support. Most importantly, the results are excellent. Only recommendation would be to move to python (or something better than bash/perl) in order to increase library support and adoption.
  • a nice tool kit for research in ASR with all latest approaches
  • It is the best toolkit for ASR research, especially with its rich recipes.
  • I have played with KALDI in the last couple of months and found it to be an excellent set of tools for ASR research and development. The toolkit is very flexible and well thought through. I was impressed that it compiled with no major issues on two platforms that I have tried it on so far (Ubuntu Linux and Mac OS 10.6). The tutorial scripts run with only very minor modifications to fit the local environment and are fairly easy to understand and change as necessary. The toolkit could use more detailed documentation but even what is available so far on the KALDI website was enough for me to get started. Hopefully future releases will have more documentation. The development team was very responsive to questions and gave informative and helpful answers. Overall, I would rate this project very highly and would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in ASR research and development.
