Kaeso 0.2.0 lets self-hosted installs update themselves, lets web apps call Kaeso straight from the browser, and comes with rewritten documentation in English, German and Simplified Chinese.
Highlights
- One-click updates. Instance admins see new releases under Settings › Instance › Updates, and the optional updater applies them in one click: it verifies each build and rolls back when the new version fails to start before any migration ran. #40
- CORS for web apps. List your apps' origins in
KAESO_CORS_ALLOWED_ORIGINSand they can call/v1directly from the browser. #33 - Model availability. Kaeso learns which models your provider key can actually use, leaves the others out of
/v1/modelsand answers requests for them with a clear 404. #37 - Single sign-on only. An install can turn passwords off and sign everyone in through its identity provider, with a sign-in link per organization. #39
- New documentation. Every page is rewritten and checked against the code, with diagrams, runnable curl, Python and TypeScript examples, and a changelog page.
Breaking
- Anthropic Messages requests without
max_tokensnow get a 400, as they would from Anthropic, so sendmax_tokenswith every request. #34
Security
- The gateway no longer writes the setup link to its logs;
kaeso setup-linkprints it when you need it. #39 - The console forgets an API key's secret as soon as its dialog closes. #32
Upgrading
0.1.0 has no updater yet, so update it by hand once, as Upgrades describes. From then on, the console offers new releases itself.
