---|
It's advised have JWM already install before installing JWM Kit. |
If you are using version 20210904 or a version older than 20210509 you must uninstall the old version before installing the new one |
Install
You can use a graphical tool to install or from command line.. You should be able to just click (or double click) the .pet to install it.
Command line syntax :
pkg --install PackageName
Note: Either change to the directory containing the file or specify the full path.
Hint: Use can use a wildcard * to prevent from having to type the whole file name.
Example 2 commands changing path before install
cd ~/Downloads
pkg --install jwmkit-0-20220121.pet
Example 1 command specifying the path
pkg --install ~/Downloads/jwmkit-0-20220121.pet
Post Install
After install a window will appear to guide you though the post install.
- Recommending settings are preselected
- INFO: The preselected settings are determined by the current system state. This means selection will be different if it was previously installed.
Do NOT jwmkit_first_run. On other distros you must run jwmkit_first_run on the clean install of JWM Kit. This is not needed with Puppy Linux because of it's unique design and extra care given to create these packages.
