I was disappointed with Java VoiceXML because Demo doesn't work out of the box, you need to change configs in way which is not described in guides. Plus is, that Dirk is answering really swiftly. Another minus for me is, that even if I choose in installation process to install sphinx and freeTTS it didn't install it and again it's not working. I guess this software have really potential, but make it run is hard and lengthy. I wish I didn't have to use it in my thesis because this software really drain my time. I increased rating because sometimes, problem is not on the JVXML side, but in other technologies.

Nice and clean code. Not necessarily trivial to set up and understand.

Had no problems getting the source code downloaded and compiled. Got the demos running with some effort.

Looks like fun, but I have no idea on how to get this working. I am a java dummy, but wheres the GUI? Any other program that gets installed by one click. This one, you have to run some compiler etc. sorry, a little too complicated. maybe a step by step wizard. All you techies are having a good laugh... well dang it.. you were me once!!! lol So in closing, not an easy thing to get running

I had some problems to run it too because I never programmed in Java before. After I consulted Dirk Schnelle-Walka to guide me (he was doing a good job here) JVoiceXML works fine.
