  • This is the best ever image viever ! I tutor and need a tool which is quick with a white background . it is amazing to be able to easily configure so many parameters (I am only using a few) !
  • This is a perfect alternative, in my opinion.
  • Excellent
  • this is a beautiful software. hope it gets updates and further development. simple ui and easy ux.
  • This is *exactly* what I've been looking for. Extremely lightweight and highly customizable. Supports executing custom commands on custom hotkeys. And the shadow removing mode (Ctrl+L) is very useful.
  • The Most Promising Viewer I've tested so far, and I've tested a dozen or so. I'm amazed I hadn't seen this one before! But to be fair, I've only recently started to look in alternative viewers after having used ThumbsPlus and Total Commander for decades. Blazingly fast, powerful commands, supremely configurable, truly portable in Global Configuration Mode (why isn't all software free from the tyranny of Registry Lock-In and the mess of files they leave all around the system), easy to learn... What isn't there to love? It's unique on-the fly auto correction feature is amazing for viewing less than perfect but otherwise properly taken pictures, in many cases saving you the trouble of editing them. With all its great features, it is missing a few that would make this the killer viewer app. The most important is the browser. You can't browse a folder to select which one to view - you need to enter into a folder using the Windows Explorer file picker and simply view each file in sequence after that and if you get out, the application quits. Thank God for shortcuts! It is also missing the ability to show videos or play play audio comments with pictures (an essential feature for us old timers who've gotten used to record audio notes and background sounds with pictures). Also, it would be great if it could view a few other common file formats such as .psd and vector formats .emf .wmf and .svg Editing features I'd love to see is the ability to directly edit Picture Comments (the old JPEG format, the more recent "UserComment" or its modern Microsoft Incarnation, XPComment), the ability to time-stamp the edited file to its original date taken. The only viewer interface enhancement I would love to see is the ability to customize the file info panel, so as to be able to select what info to show in toggle (such as filename, filename and date taken, filename, date taken and comment or full picture taking data), how (font color, background color and transparency and its position on the screen). Speedy, customizable and powerfully coded as it is, with the few enhancements suggested it truly has the potential of replacing every other viewer out there, whether free or not. Kudos for the amazing work so far! Sorry for the lack of legibility, Sourceforge apparently lacks the ability to show comments with its original paragraph formatting intact.
  • This is, by far, the BEST lightweight (yet powerful) JPEG image viewer out there. Super fast to load, minimalistic so that it only shows the image unless you invoke the menu. Simply superior software by someone who clearly undestands the whole concept of UX.
  • This is a really cool app that makes viewing images very comfortable and easy.
  • Best image viewer I've ever used. Thank you!
  • This is a bloody breath of fresh air !! FAST FAST FAST: I can scroll through about 5 (five) 2Mbyte pics per second. Imageglass can only muster about 1(one) per second. Bravo!
  • This is a great app. But adjusting the window size when viewing images of different sizes was very problematic. Highly. I would like to get more friendly settings from new versions.
  • This is one of the thinnest, leanest programs I have used in the last 10 years: simply incredible! This reminds me of how programs were written when the environment was 640K memory and 10MB on an MFM HDD. Honestly, this is such a departure from what the average user (perhaps excluding the average SourceForge user) that I think most people don't understand how magnificent this program really is: they lack any reference to which they can compare it. For managing & editing graphics files, this program really excels and does so very efficiently. It is has many more editing features than are listed the Summary Description. For example, anyone with an Android device or camera that uses only time/date stamp for file names (most devices with images stored in a DCIM folder) will love the "Batch Rename/Copy" function. That feature allows you to quickly and easily organize your photos by batch renaming the photos' filenames while still keeping (and/or including other) pertinent information in the filename, if desired. If you want a quick, easy, minimalistic jpeg viewer/manager/editor that is unobtrusive to the graphic being viewed, but still gives you very powerful editing tools this is it. 5 out of 5
  • well, it does its job, but I think Xlideit Image Viewer is better than this. (just my opinion :-)
  • Anything less than 5 stars seems like a bad reflection of my experience with this viewer. There are things to nitpick, but you can't argue with the speed and the ease of use. It's so fast that I thought it stays in the memory to "cheat", but after investigation I found that it actually starts fresh every time. Amazing.
Small size program but has huge potential   It can be handled very easily   wonderful wonderful wonderful   It is not just a program for displaying pictures, but to get adjustments in the image that may make it better than the original

  • As good as it gets, sleek & unobtrusive design. The name is a bit confusing, one might think it only opens JPG, but this is a game changer.
  • Excellent viewer. So compact, but fast and powerful!
  • I don't like giving 5 stars because nothing is perfect, but to give four would not reflect my assessment of the product's excellence. It is a very impressively and professionally designed package and makes excellent use of my desktop's facilities. I echo the other enthusiastic reviews concerning speed and ease of use, though I only have been using the product for a day or so. But I expect to use it a good deal more and will be installing it on my laptop. I had been taking large numbers of wildlife photos, and found MS freebies modest in function and time-wasting in dealing with large photos. I had a hard time looking for what I needed in SF, but JPEGView looked real and fuss-free, and though there might be something as good elsewhere, I am looking no further. I lack the time and confidence to waste effort on what seems to me an unpromising search. My congratulations to designers and implementers. I can't remember when I wrote the foregoing, but I see no reason to change my evaluation after a few years frequent use. RE-REview I don't know what I would do without this software. It is an object lesson in clean, efficient, uncluttered design, versatile and fuss-free. If I had not retired years before, I would certainly have acquired it for the company.
  • Very fast - use it all the time
  • Fast, efficient, and just makes me want to open up pictures to see how fast they pop up. The manual copying of the application folder to Program Files and manual mapping of file types don't even bother me. It's quick, clean, and effective.
  • I like apps with clean and minimalist interface, and this project is a great example how to make software. JPEGView comes as my favorite image viewer for Windows.
  • It is simply excellent: perfect image display, full of manipulative posibilities but extremely clean and unobtrusive. Perfect software. Thousand congratulations and thanks to Mr. Kleiner!

  • The app is super fast.
  • A superb viewer! I was looking for an alternative to Microsoft, and this surpasses it by leaps and bounds! Great functions, allowing you all the usual cropping, contrast etc. but even allows you to adjust the colours and/or flip (mirror) images horizontally or vertically! And all these options are not obtrusive, They are at your fingertips, but do not obstruct the full-screen view of the image you are working on. Excellent! The only thing I'm having a little trouble with is retaining the viewing order after saving (over-writing) a modified image. I have gone into the settings and set it so "Control + Shift + S" will over-write images, but the annoying thing is that this changes the viewing order. For some reason "Control + Shift + E" doesn't seem to work doesn't work at all. I want them ordered in the time and date the photos were created (the pictures was taken), which seems to be embedded in the EXIF, but have to reorder the whole batch each time I save if I want to go on to what would have been the next one before doing the editing. Perhaps I can configure a shortcut to do all this, but I haven't figured that out yet. In any case, I'm thrilled with the App. It is fast and, because of its many features, I rarely have to use GIMP, which I find cumbersome for editing whole batches of photos.
  • Simple concise freaking image viewer. What already I asked? For a simple, lightweight image viewer? ImageGlass does not see this program from 1 meter. Thank you.
