== Functionality

Decoder to transform FLAC encoded files or streams to a standard PCM data-format which can be played in PC sound systems, in particular the facilities supplied in javax.sound.sampled of the Java Virtual Machine of version 1.8 (8). The decoder renders PCM output formats in 8, 16 and 24 bits sample-size
and any allowed sample-rate.

== Status

A STABLE state can be expected though new modifications performed may have unforseen consequences which only show in long-term application or special cases. The package comes without any guarantees for fitness, in particular there can be well-defined FLAC format variants which do not play in this version of the software.
