Jevgrep 0.5.0 reduces native Jev usage through content-preview admission and shared criteria across larger declaration batches. It retains hierarchical discovery, contextual follow-up, token-aware pacing, and concurrent initial evaluation.
The ten-task SWE-bench comparison retained 8/10 solves, with about 59% lower Jev cost than the saved 0.4.3 cohort. Combined Sol-plus-Jev cost was 2–3% higher, accepted as a small tradeoff for this release. These observations do not establish statistical equivalence or a speed improvement. See the full results and accounting limitations.
File admission now follows the source preview's relevance judgment; relevant code beyond a negative preview can be missed. Oversized previews retain a bounded chunk fallback. CLI output keeps repository instruction locations and source evidence without generating test commands. The built-in skill also clarifies how to wait for an existing search without launching a duplicate.
Verified through the full test suite, 40 installed-package Docker tests, 10 native macOS checks, and an independent code review. The compiled CLI matches the benchmarked candidate apart from its version string.
