Jesperl was developed to be used with MAME's ZX Spectrum Next emulation. Running it and letting MAME connect to it allows the programs which run inside of the ZX Spectrum Next emulation environment to communicate with the internet using the internet access of the host computer.
Jesperl minimally emulates the behavior of an ESP8266 hardware module , which is the module used in the ZX Spectrum Next hardware project.
The code of jesperl_xtr.pl is distributed under GNU Affero GPL 3 or later.
