JD990 Super Editor Files

Roland JD-990 Card Selector

This utility loads SL-JD80 card data or SR-JV80 card data
into the temp buffer on the ROLAND JD-990.

With many patches the waveforms are needed and may not be present
if you don't have the SR-JV80 card installed or the SO-JD80 card inserted.

INSTRUCTIONS:

A. Set MIDI out to MIDI in on JD-990 (No need to set MIDI IN)
B. Select Patch


C. Optionally load an instance of the 'JD-990 Super Editor panel' and assign MIDI in/out to connect to JD-990
D. Click on SYNC Button on 'JD-990 Super Editor panel' to load sysex from temp memory on the JD990
E. Edit card patch data that were uploaded via this utility.


If you are getting no sound, check "Routing IN Device -> OUT Device" in MIDI setup SEE: 'ROUTING' tab,
or it maybe because you do not have the waveform card installed.

*N.B. Some of the patch waveform data seems out of bounds of the number of actual waveforms available on cards.
Please check data carefully. These data were downloaded from the internet and I have no way to confirm their accuracy as I
own none of the cards in this program, except the 'SR_JV80_04'.

Specifically, there seem to be errors in the SL_JD80_07 "Guitar" card's
sysex and the sysex from patches 55 ~ 64 in that card seem to be incorrect.

• If graphics are not loading after updating version, you may need to delete the current settings folder:
• MacOS Library/Preferences/Roland JD-990 Card Selector
• Windows @RD /S /Q "C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Roland JD-990 Card Selector"
